Hien gave me the warning that Skeith is looking for emotional reactions to death, it might be frustrated with the sample if it doesn't show as much emotion in general, much less in reaction to death.
If Hien's admin skills are still in tact once he becomes Skeith...we'll be in for a difficult battle.
[ Slight incline of his head towards Sinclair at this revelation. ]
...I see. Frustration with the sample sounds like it could be a double-edged sword.
[ But...Hien would not have said that if he thought it might give them a good edge.
Somehow, he feels that maybe it wouldn't be exactly a terrible thing, but he doesn't wish to jump to conclusions on that. ]
Speaking of which - do you or anyone else have full knowledge of his capabilities, including new ones? We should keep that in mind, if he has displayed more advanced or new techniques in other battles as of late.
When he attacked Gorre on my behalf, he was able to trap Gorre in this shadowy claw that kept him pinned to one spot.
[Thinking]
...and because he's an admin he can code anything into existence, provided he has access to the data and information. So...he can create copies of us to fight, as he did with Mithrun and...
[Glances]
Even though he's a harvest cleric, don't expect him to be reliant on his spells list.
Hmm...that particular technique sounds quite troublesome—how long was he able to keep Gorre entrapped?
[ If they know the timing, even if it might be elongated by...let us say, Hien's claw-pinning ability being further boosted once the transformation is complete, it could be useful. Maybe.
Also...at the mention of 'copies', Albedo is frowning because great. That's fantastic. ]
How sturdy are these copies, exactly?
I presume you mean because he is the type to hit first and ask questions later as fast as possible — and spells might undermine such a tactic?
...no. Even though the reason I remember my name is because of him... he's forgotten everything. He doesn't see himself as 'Hien', not the way we see him. As far as he's concerned, "NoName", "Hien the administrator" and "Hien with missing memories" are all different people.
[ He gets it, he thinks. The Emil Sinclair in his journal feels like a very different person sometimes ]
[ Since he's here, with moderate reluctance, probably lurking as close to the wall as he can over by Sinclair... he'll chime in in a quiet voice more to Sinclair than anyone else. ]
It seems likely that each of us chose our means of fighting according to the data we wished to gather, our personalities, and our classes... among other factors.
I don't know enough about Fandaniel to guess. He seemed... extremely close to Lily. Perhaps something to try to force others to accept Lily's view of "hope," despairing in ever leaving this world.
[ It's his best guess. Although to those whose memories have completely gone, he recognizes that he sounds unhinged. ]
He...doesn't want to die. He told me as much. But he doesn't want to kill us either. How much of that is 'Fandaniel' and how much of that is 'Fidchell' is uncertain to me.
[Closing his eyes as he thinks]
He thinks this is the only world for him. And we should accept what Lily offers us.
( Mithrun spent 20 minutes writing out a report for everyone to see, got caught up on the Innis details, then walked directly to one of the lounge couches. He did not lay down so much as he simply folded horizontally onto it, his wedding armor and veil splaying out about him as he lays on his side.
He has the same dead fish stare as ever, but he seems kind of tired. He's also covered in ... an obscene amount of small lacerations all over his body, many overlapping across the scars he already has. They're no longer bleeding, but it's apparent he's going to swing by the infirmary soon after this because a little tug at the skin and he probably will be bleeding again.
If you've got questions for him about his report before he leaves, now would be the time. Also, hi, he's new here, thanks for the invite Sinclair. )
[Sinclair shakes his head, sitting down on the sofa next to Mithrun. He'll accept what Mithrun says at face value, even if his brow creases a little in concern]
No. I didn't even get touched by Innis. Oria got hurt badly though...
( He doesn't say anything to Nanashi at first. It was a pretty long battle, and he's tired, though he doesn't really know it.
Eventually, though: )
... Upset by Cubia again?
( He's guessing. He at least remembers this one trait of Nananshi's - not liking what Cubia's handwork has done to the humans beneath the gilded exteriors that comprise each Phase. )
If he hadn't turned them into Waves, Uta and Makoto could still be alive with us even now.
Or... no. If we had deleted Cubia from the start, then...
[Reducing humans to programs is already unforgivable. Turning them into something that must be fought - forcing their lives in this world to be snuffed out?
What an abhorrent program. They need to destroy it completely.]
... All Phases exist to gather negative traits. That, and presuming Cubia chose most of us for compatability with our respective Phase in mind... I think it makes for a bad combination of people who can get along.
Still. It might be that the Waves don't need to succeed for Cubia to get what he wants. If success were necessary, he'd be playing a much more active role. Unless...
( ... he can't, right now? Because either this is all going as planned and needs no intervention, or things are problematic and he can't do anything about it. Hm hm. )
[ And he thought he was having a difficult time... at least he only collapses into the storage pile for naps when there are no witnesses.
Michel still settles himself awkwardly leaning against the couch. He's more comfortable in Mithrun's radius or Sinclair's than anywhere else in the room. ]
Post Innis Battle Discussion
It seems like there's a pattern with some of these phases. Not all of them can be dealt with by direct attacks.

If we defeat Skeith, his memories will return, right? He was very adamant about not wanting to live as a shell of himself.

See to it that you rest as soon as possible. It appears we will have another difficult fight lying ahead of us.

Mm. Skeith... There's really no reason he shouldn't use the full extent of his admin powers to execute each player in his arena.
( The rest of the Phases mostly play by the rules of the game, but a boss that doesn't have to is a bit of a riddle. )
But... each Phase has suffered from the flaws similar to what they had before adopting their Phase persona. That may still be the key against him.
