We know that Uta's death was reported in the newsletter we all received. What exactly are we supposed to offer her?

A chance to find out the truth, maybe. Lily is manipulating our memories, and well... How do we know the newsletter wasn't something written by Lily?

That's what I'm thinking. We haven't gotten one in a while, have we? I wonder if anyone ever tried reaching out to the publisher.

There aren't many. Maybe if we go over them, there's something else there. It's a little like looking for scraps, but if Cubia can use anything within the world of the game against us, we should make sure to do the same.

It's a plan. It gives me something to do while we're convalescing.

[Given that half of the interactions between the Operatives have been encouraging one another to rest, that's probably how at least a few of them will be spending the day.]

... it's interesting isn't it? We really have no idea what's real or not. But we can't convince Uta to break free of Corbenik through "what ifs".

Will you be able to accept that? [She looks at him evenly.] If someone comes to you outside of any influence and says they don't want to be helped, or that they want to die within this game or never leave it?

But... it's not like I can actually stop anyone from killing themselves, or staying here.

As long as what you say is true, you can hope it reaches them. [She looks to Emil, giving him the smallest of smiles. She is not a touchy feely or particularly comforting person, which will become even more apparent by the way she touches his shoulder briefly before dropping her hand awkwardly back into her lap.]

Based on the information we have, I think I might cause problems if I get involved with Corbenik. I'm going to focus on Gorre for now.

You sound determined. [It's unlikely anyone would try to talk them out of it, but it seems like it would be especially difficult to do now.]

[ He smiles at her , touched by the gesture. He looks around the room, taking faith in everyone's unwavering confidence]

I'll focus on Gorre too. We should come up with a plan of attack. We only have two healers. There's no guarantee the phases won't target them aggressively. I'll keep to my Heal core for the battles ahead to make sure any healers are supported.

...We have to bring them to that point first.

We can't force them. We can make room, but...

[ He squeezes his hands together ]

They have to make that final step themselves.

It isn't about power.

The final choice is always in that person's hands. [She smiles a little.] But you'll never stop reaching out to them, whether they choose to take your hand or not. I think that's strong.

Listen. One person will never save the entire world, but you may make the entire world worthwhile for one person.

I agree. It's not something Lily should decide for them. I'm certain Uta would want to have the agency to make that choice for herself.

If they want to stay here – if there's anything left of this world by then – we should respect that.
