He may have done that to you because he knew it would be cruel. To you, specifically.
[They can't assume that and charge forward heedlessly, but she thinks it's worth pointing out.]
Or consider the opposite: that he didn't want to be cruel to you.
I think it would be a little different for the rest of us. [Different now, regardless, that he's hidden away, but he will probably remember almost everything he does, if he can be compared to the others. Maybe it should be someone who won't stoke that fire of regret.]
[Miharu nods. She's not optimistic enough to truly believe that it was only Michel, screaming out for one last moment of control, who tried to stop Emil from coming to the battle with Macha and Tarvos, but she remembers how he still hoped to protect who he can. It would be...reasonable, to think he could have used the limitations of the phase consuming him to do what he could, while he could.]
I think so. Once everything is data to him, no matter the context...that's like the chrysalis, isn't it?
[It's an ugly thought, but that seems to be when the last bit of what's really them melts away.]
Yeah. I think...stabbing me was the trigger point, to allow Gorre to take control. Mithrun said that each program--each phase, had programming that was essentially illogical because the core was human. So any data processed would just be adjusted until it made sense.
[That's the gist of it, he thinks. It had been mostly Gorre there. But maybe beneath it all, there was a glimmer of Michel waiting]</small.

[It would fit in with both Michel and Gorre, if a justification needed to be reached...
His head hurts]
I think, from what everyone said, Macha and Tarvos both took over completely before they transformed. It might be the case for him too.
