Nope. No classes today.

[ No lab either. It's one of his relatively rare free days, so he's spending most of it playing a video game.

Maybe he should have better hobbies.

Anyway, Fai starts to snoop around the room's inventory, looking at what all is in there outside of what Fandaniel asked him to make. ]

So... why are you holding this little party at all?

Because it's something I've always wanted to do. I can't exactly hold a dinner party in the real world, after all.

[ And considering their previous conversation, the time for doing it now has a deadline.

Anyway, Fandaniel resumes chopping away, leaving Fai to snoop around on his own whims. There's nothing too suspicious in the kitchen's inventory. Well, apart from a certain special potion tucked away in the corner of the inventory slots. ]

...No, I suppose not.

[ It comes out more bitter than he intended it to, precisely because he's thinking about that deadline. He tries to let some of the anger building up in his chest simmer a bit as he digs through the inventory.

...And finds a strange potion.

With a small "hm" he pulls himself out of the menu. ]

What's that potion for, Amon?

[ Ah, bitter, bitter! Fandaniel ignores Fai's tone completely, skating by it with the sheer audacity to laugh when the potion is found. If hovered over in the inventory, it'll read out "Potion of Fang and Claw". ]

Ah, just a little fun something I thought I would sneak into the wine we're having with dessert, that's all.

[ Ah… he knows exactly what kind of potion this is. ]

So you’ll give all of us cat ears? I didn’t know you were into that sort of thing.

[ And honestly? He’s not gonna stop Fandaniel. ]

Cat ears? Perhaps. I believe it's entirely random what you get but, yes, that's the idea.

[ Everyone gets surprise ears and a tail! What a way to end the evening... assuming everyone takes it in good humor. Time will tell who does and who doesn't. ]

Ultimately harmless. I'm sure there are worse things in the game I could be slipping into our drinks.

[ He doesn’t mean to say that last bit, but ah well. He’s well aware Fandaniel was going to do it regardless of what he said about it.

As he takes the ingredients he needs out, he eyes Fandaniel. ]

Hmm. Bear ears would be cute for you.

Bear ears? Why a bear?

[ Chop, chop, chop, followed by the scape of the back of the knife across the cutting board, straight into a bowl. ]

I can't say that I've ever considered myself very... beary.

[ He starts to arrange the ingredients, pulling up his emails so he can get the recipe back up. ]

It has nothing to do with personality and everything to do with spirit.

[ Essentially, vibes. ]

I think bear ears suit you more than cat ears, for instance, even though I'd liken your personality to a cat.

Ha, well, yes, I imagine you'd be the one better suited for cat ears.

[ It's that right, Mr. Bigkitty? ]

Well, we shall see what we all end up with when we get to dessert. Hmm, what do you think Yael will end up with?

[ As there's no doubt that's who Fai would be bringing. Who else would he even choose? No, he'll shove the poor man into yet another uncomfortable situation, because apparently, that's what boyfriends do. ]

As Fai gets started on the dessert, he shrugs. ]

Who knows? Maybe an owl? Or an ox?

[ Yael is certainly built like one, that's for sure. ]

An ox? Ha! No, no, that one, I can see that one so clearly! Yael with ox ears flicking angrily, horns on his head, a cow's tail. Hahaha. That would be...

[ Fandaniel moves what he's been chopping into a bowl and rustles around the inventory for the next ingredient that he needs. ]

Perfect, I think. It would suit him.

[ Fai smiles, though he's sure that he and Fandaniel agree on this one for very, very different reasons here. ]

He's certainly as stubborn and as strong as one. Plus, those ears and horns would look really cute on him.

I hope that's what he ends up with, then. I want to take screenshots...

[ Not just of Yael but all of them. It'll be a fun thing to share with the forums. Like an actual fun thing for once, not just a malicious trolling thing. Ah, but he does pause in his meal prep efforts to give Fai a sly sidelong glance. ]

So, is he hung like one as well? Hmm?

[ Yeah, there's got to be another reason Fai would suggest 'ox' out of all possible animals. ]

[ Damn (Fan)daniel... The answer is out of Fai's mouth before he can keep it shut. ]

He's pretty big. Definitely one of the bigger ones I've had in me.

Well, time to focus on this sweet potato pie. ]

[ There's a snort of laughter. Ah, surprising he actually got an answer! ]

Really? I admit it, I'm jealous. I barely ever get anyone that big when abroad. [ Because he doesn't dare go looking here in Japan, even if he knows where to go. ] And when I do, they never want to put in the work.

[ The curse of being a switch. He ends up topping all the damn time. ]

[ That just makes him laugh. ]

You'll find someone that likes topping eventually, I'm sure.

[ Though Fai understands the curse of being a switch all too well. It's a real (lack of) pain in the ass. ]

Why don't you immediately start asking how big they are? I bet you can narrow it down.

[ With a wink, Fai returns to his meal prep. It's terrible advice, but hey, it might work on someone. ]

Mm, only in my dreams... or this game, perhaps. I fear I am often more aggressive than people assume at first.

[ What he needs is someone even more aggressive. Could someone like that even exist? Who isn't Yael? Doubtful!

So onward they go, prepping their way through the ingredients, readying them to get shoved into their respective dishes. It'll be quiet for a time, busy with chopping and setting out spices and bowls and dishes when... ]

Hmm. [ A glance is tossed back Fai's way. ] Say, how would you feel about making some little snacks to serve before the meal, while everyone is being seated? I let Hien make some, so why not you?

Sure. Let me go through your ingredients and I'll see what I can scrape together.

[ There's a lot here, so Fai isn't worried about figuring something out. It should be easy enough.

But as they settle into yet another silence, he decides to bring up that old topic from before. ]

Surely there's someone aggressive enough for you here. We have quite a few people with big personalities.

Oh, there's always Owen. We're more or less on the same level there but after ending up telling him all my plans, I'd rather not have him trying to convince me otherwise.

[ With sex, probably, which is a shame. It had been very fun sex. ]

Hector is fun. Maybe if I can convince him to top...

[ Anyway, seems like Fandaniel's been busy and Fai gets to hear aaaall about it, but what else are friends for, right? ]

That is true. Maybe whenever we run off to try out the cabins over in that skiing area.

[ Find a reason to do it in every recreation area. Make it a goal. It's achievable and fun! ]

I can at least highly rate the hot springs but do be sure no one else is there first. [ It didn't happen to them but... it sure could. Don't need someone like Ramiel or whoever stumbling over anyone doing it in the springs. ] Although if Yael prefers real life... That is a shame. Consider some of the dungeon effects out there. There's one that creates a double of you somewhere, is there not?

[ Honestly, probably a new goal for Fai once the Dot Hackening happens. ]

Doubles, huh? He's pretty vanilla. I'm not sure if he'd be open to that immediately.
