[The time has come... for fun! Δ Haggard Traveler's Reprieve has been decorated with all the niceties that a beach party requires - docks for fishing, large umbrellas to hide from the sun, several tables with sets of chairs for sitting and conversing, and the most obvious addition: a massive roaring bonfire with a big cooking mesh over the top of it for barbecue cookin'!

Leo's wearing a fishing hat and aviators alongside his trademark loincloth-and-nothing-else getup for maximum dissonance. From his position on the other side of the bonfire, he waves a hand at those arriving.]

Welcome to the Beach Bash! Snacks and drinks are on the tables, bottles of sunscreen and crafting tables are under the umbrellas, and complementary fishing gear are at the docks for your convenience. Have fun, friends~

[Emperor Grunty is also here, should you wish to annoy him! He's currently laying in the sand with a reflector. What? Grunties need their sun too!]

[ Fully focused on his project, he's assuming nobody's really going to trek all the way over here. A wrong assumption, but one he made nonetheless.

So, no, Ramiel doesn't really hear him get closer- but he does jump a bit the sound of Tylor's voice. It doesn't provoke immediate hostility like some, but he still covers up his paper with a glare. ]

Make noise when you move, christ. [ SQUINTING. ] And what's it to you.

[tylorific]

[ Tylor squats opposite him, chin in one hand. A respectful enough distance even if it's still obvious how curious he is. Like a dog, tail wagging, and glancing periodically to the paper.

But he won't pry more than a shrug and-- ] Oh, well i was just curious.

You looked so into it! So I figured it must be something pretty cool, or important to you.

You don't have to show me. [ A beat. ] Buuut if you let me borrow some paper I could doodle something funny for you.

[aphonik]

[ What is with this guy...quite possibly the weirdest person he's met here yet.

Ramiel notably pauses at the 'important' bit, letting his gaze flicker with the paper with the slightest tug of a frown. Not for long, though. ]

It's whatever.

[ Typical teenage response. ]

And I bet you're full of shit.

[ But, whatever, he's bored. So he finally tugs a paper loose from the bottom of his pile and hands it over. ]

[tylorific]

Well, I guess you'll find out.

[ Tylor laughs at the accusation, as if Ramiel had made a funny joke instead. Tylor accepts the paper happily without making any attempt to look at Ramiel's or pry any more into whatever important thing he has in his hand.

But he hides his paper at first in a mirror of Ramiel. ]

What's your favorite animal?

[ Ramiel makes a dismissive noise in the back of his throat, akin to a scoff. As long as he's not peeking, he doesn't care.

He lets his gaze flicker to the paper for only a second, before pursing his lips. ]

...Cat, I guess.

[tylorific]

[ No peeking, but he isn't going to make it easy for Ramiel to peek at his own either while he happily hums and doodles.

He is not a careful or detailed doodler, but it's obvious when he's done because he pauses to laugh before he holds it up in front of himself with both hands. Right where it'd be easy to snatch.

Please enjoy this little rendering of Ramiel-nya that I will draw later but for now imagine this style, roughly sketched. And he is holding a gun. ]

[ He's not a HYPOCRITE....or is he.

Either way, he'll go back to hunching over his own work, making it far more difficult for himself but whatever. He disappears into the zone so much he only gets jolted out of it by Tylor's laugh, which has him turning to squint in suspicion- ]

[ Tylor makes a happy sound anyway, as if Dosei had praised the hell out of it. The drawing retreats, only this time he doesn't careif Dosei watches him scribble out another cat, posed slightly differently with a gun that might as well be a rocket launcher.

Unlike last time, he chats as he draws-- ]

Did you try any of the party food? Oh, or the drinks?

[aphonik]

[ This time, maybe he does watch- he also feels particularly pleased watching that gun increase in size drastically. Much better. Feels more dangerous.

The question, however, catches Dosei off guard, and there's a brief moment his face twitches in something...uncomfortable? Before it switches back to his usual gloomy scowl. ]

Hell no. I'm not going over there.

[tylorific]

Oh, I see. Well then, want some of mine? What do you like? Do you have a favorite food?

[ Tylor only glances up from his drawing to flash him a little smile, as if to say-- see? Do you like it? When he tilts the paper Ramiel's way.

Also yes, half his inventory is food and alcohol so take your pick Ramiel. ]

[aphonik]

[ Hmmm. Another suspicious glance, but since he's not going to pry, Dosei will take it. It is concerning that this guy seems to be carrying around a hoard of food, allegedly, though. Aren't their better things to keep in there...

He sees it! He gives a faint nod of approval, tapping his own pencil on the paper. ]

...Baklava. [ But, that's probably a stretch, so- ] Or coconut macaroons.

[tylorific]

Ohhh. Those are some delicious choices.

I have coconut cream puffs on me, do you want one?

[ Tylor holds up said cream puff towards Ramiel's face. But he'll release it to his hand too if he goes for it. Its a simple, mostly white pastry, but cute somehow. Or maybe it's just how happily Tylor is holding it out for him.

If he were a dog, his tail would be wagging. ]

They're really good.

[aphonik]

[ Naturally, Dosei didn't have his hopes up. He does that normally, but even with this guy, he doesn't tend to hold out high standards just in case. Still, he is surprised by the actual offering, eyeballing it for a few moments as Tylor dangles it.

...Why does he have such dog energy....

Either way, he'll take it, since coconut good. Dosei shoves it in his mouth, since it's not like he's using it for talking anyway, and goes back to scratching at his own sketch as the snack wiggles in the air with each little munch. ]

They're OK.

[ Which is Dosei speak for they are good, but he's not gonna say it out loud. ]

[tylorific]

Well, I'm glad you like it. Don't worry, I have more.

[ Tylor returned to his doodling as soon as Ramiel accepted the snack. But he glances up to beam at him over his assessment anyway

On the paper, Ramiel-nya's are multiplying. If this keeps up, guns and cute grumpy cats will probably take over every open space. The poses differ, as do the guns, but the one he's just started now has no gun at all. Instead, this one is cutely licking a cream puff. Its apathetic expression is ruined by the little heart Tylor draws between it and the food. ]

But what about drinks, do you like any of those?

[aphonik]

[ Who said he liked it...hmph. Dosei just shoots him a blank look as he up and shoves the rest in his mouth, idly licking some cream off his thumb as he looks back down at his paper. ]

Whatever.

[ Which is stupid bitch speak for yeah, it is good, but he won't admit it out loud.

He leans back over his paper to start continue, wide strokes of his pencil making soft noises against the paper, only letting his gaze shoot back to Tylor's paper...which has him frowning at the new cute addition. The fuck!!

He gives a displeased noise before he actually bothers answering. ]

Cola.

[tylorific]

[ Well, congratulations Ramiel. Now there's a version licking cream off one paw. ]

Oh?

[ Tylor hums at the answer at first, finishing his final doodle. Only for him to stand suddenly a few moments later. He isn't even really trying to look at Ramiel's paper when he leans over to hand him his own. But it's not like he's avoiding it either.

Either way, he smiles to Ramiel and takes some steps backwards-- ] Okay, I'll be right back.

[ Off he goes towards the drinks. ]

[ bitch STOP!!!

Dosei is casting every cute little doodle of him a death stare. He doesn't want cute. He wants guns and explosions. How dare you make him look normal.

Luckily, Tylor standing up surprises him enough he just takes the paper with a confused blink, his own sliding off to reveal the contents- a sketch of the beach and the 'sunset', in surprisingly good detail for just pencilwork. It's covered up, though, once he shoves the Ramiel-nyas on top haphazardly as he watches the older scuttle off to the party in the distance.

Huh. The fuck. ]

[tylorific]

[ Tylor doesn't comment and it's hard to tell if he saw anything at all since he turns away so quickly. And he only gets stuck in one short bout of small talk. So, he returns eventually, waving his good byes and walking backwards before turning on his heel. Once he does, Ramiel gets a grin like Tylor's gotten away with something.

Casually, he sits beside Ramiel, looking back and forth like he's just back from a heist.

He makes a move like he's grabbing something from his pocket. Only, Tylor times pulling the mystery from his inventory like some kind of mmo hat trick. Ta-da! Tylor offers Ramiel a cola. Or whatever the closest thing is that they've got around here. The point is, there's been an attempt here. ]

Want to try it?

[ Honestly, he doesn't really expect him to come back. The moment he leaves, the moment he sees him open his mouth to talk to someone else, Dosei turns back to his own work with a slight frown. Tylor's paper shoved haphazardly beneath his own, he hunches back over his work, tucking his knees up as he tries to drown out the sound of everybody else chatting away.

Whatever. He didn't expect much, anyway.

That's exactly why Dosei seems actually surprised when he hears feet on the sand and looks up to see the older man returning. It's met with a skeptical squint, to cover up his bewilderment, eyes cautiously watching his hands as they make a grab for something.

...Huh. ]

The fuck. [ He?? takes it?? But he's staring at it like it's a foreign object. ] You're nuts if you actually went all the way over there just for this.

[ This guy barely knows him, or so he thinks. That's why he doesn't crack it open right away, although he's heavily debating on it. ]

[tylorific]

Huh? What's so nuts about that?

[ Tylor asks in all genuine curiosity as his head tilts. He's closer now than he'd been before he left in search of soda, but not nearly close enough to touch even as he leans slightly and peers at the bottle in Ramiel's hands. ]

Didn't you say you like cola?

[aphonik]

[ This guy is just- unbelievable. Frustrating, in a certain way, that has his brows furrowing deeper. Does he really have to spell it out for him. ]

I mean, yeah, I did. Normal people would just leave it at that.

[ Like, not that he isn't glad that someone is acting like a lackey and grabbing him stuff, but it's the fact he didn't even have to ask or say anything. He just...did it. Which is a surreal thing, in Dosei's opinion. ]

No point in doing shit for people who wouldn't do the same for you.

[tylorific]

Well, why not? It's not like I'm expecting anything from anyone.

[ A shrug. And the rest is said like it's the simplest truth in the world-- ]

I did it because I wanted to.

[aphonik]

[ This guy? Cracked. Just whacked in the head. The more Dosei listens to him, the more he feels like he's getting a headache coming on. Who can live like this... ]

You've got like no self-preservation, do you.

[ Derogatory. Or positive, for him?? Who knows. He's tucking his cola away, regardless, neatly on the sand right next to his makeshift workdesk, just in case. ]

Somebody's gonna mug you with that attitude.
