( Mithrun is dressed in his usual (mask up etc) - he was probably already at the Gate, fresh from a previous run.

He pauses at the sudden compliment. That's definitely very Tylor-esque, and he recognizes the influence. Since he figures Hani's just saying it, he guesses he'll volley it back. )

[ on friday, when scitalis passes by the gate, a strange avatar called tabibito waves at her. they don't know her, and she doesn't know them, but they seem eager to get her attention anyway. ]

Hello! Your name is so interesting! [ they flutter to her, not quite too close, but not far enough. ] Would you like to join me for a dungeon run?

[For quite a long moment, Miharu's avatar sits there in silence as if she happened to think Hani was speaking to someone else or had simply tuned them out.

"Sorry, I'm very busy." "I'm afraid I'm not interested in that right now." On the rare occasions people approached her with propositions of friendly activities in real life, she often deflected when she responded at all. The instinct to stay silent or turn away luckily doesn't register on her in-game character, but when she finally does respond, it's tight and guarded.]

...Sorry? My name makes you want to run a dungeon with me?

Actually it makes me want to have a conversation with you, but I figured since we’re so close to the gate, we might as well make it interesting.

How would Scitalis-kun approach a dungeon, I thought!

[That much, at least, makes sense to her. Standing around talking, especially under the slightly alarming presence of someone finding her "interesting" from sight alone, is not the most appealing of ideas.

Their line of questioning, however, just makes her look a little more caught off guard.]

How many ways are there to approach a dungeon?

I’ve tried a handful of different ways, so there must be more. Going in with no gear, turning it into a picnic, making small talk about food… I think there’s at least as many ways as there are people.

when he shows up at the gate, he'll fine hani patiently waiting, robes still red. there's no sign of how long they've been here, and they won't say anything about it. let's say it was fate that they both arrived here at the perfect time to meet each other. that's more beautiful to imagine. ]

Memoir-kun, hello. [ a faint smile that seems a little stiff at the corners, but they're trying. ] How are you?

[ Noé shows up rather promptly. He doesn't have much else to do, and tabibito has always been very kind, so he meets them in the area -- a library? -- and smiles brightly at them. ]

Hi, tabibito. I haven't done much today, so thank you for your invite. Where are we?

[ hani takes his hands, a gentle squeeze in greeting, brief then they let go.

they look up and up and up at the books. ]

I’m not too sure. This is my first time here, but the keywords were from Zelkova-kun, so I thought it would be a nice place. What do you think?

ꕤ Before Meteor 8/31

[ it’s like a little game of hide-and-seek. justy logs in first, so hani seeks him out. peeking in different spots until - ah, there he is.

he’s faced away from them. a strong, lovely back. lonely, they think. or maybe it’s hani who is lonely without the touch of him. so they set to fix that by approaching him from behind. arms catch him around the middle to keep him with them. eyes close, they press their forehead to his back, then their ear to hear the living thrum of his avatar. ]

If Justy-kun is there, I wouldn’t mind being made for something else, but… I’m happiest like this. There’s nothing else I want. [ and with that out of the way, they nuzzle their head into his back like an affectionate cat with its claws in a big teddy bear. ] Hi! I found you!

[ Tylor only starts at the first contact, but he doesn't need to turn to know who has captured his midsection. His own hands come to cover Hani's as they talk, as he leans back tilting his head as if that would ever work to see his short love. It's a shame he can't see the words on their lips, but he can feel them pressed into his back. Even when they settle in his heart. A stuttering that flips his stomach with affection and something else that settles deeper.

But then the nuzzling begins and Tylor is too ticklish not to start laughing. He tries to turn in Hani's hold, to toss his arms over them and squeeze them close. ]

Now, I got you! [ He keeps laughing until it trails off. Suddenly breathless, he wants to stay like this a moment; pressed close enough to hear Hani's heartbeat. It's another of those little moments. Where Tylor goes quiet and buries his face in their hair, even if he has to lift Hani off of their feet to do it without toppling over.

Quieter, fingers curling wherever they've ended up in his attempt to hold Hani this close. He would pinky promise, but he's comfortable. ]

But, do you promise. To only stay as long as it makes you happy? Let's forget trying to decide anything else, alright?

[ hani holds on with a little laugh, confident he won’t drop them. not so confident he’ll ever ask them to stay. a joyous moment touched by the somber reminder of the night before, fresh like a bruise.

his low tone is… not new, but they’ve only heard a variation of it once before. it gets them to attend. they’re quiet, only breathing with him.
