[ He puts Edge into Edge Punisher or so he believes. But for real, it would be a shame if they lowered their health to a critical state and someone else walked in and killed them both. With PvP enabled... anything can happen. ]
Special gear? Looks very high-level.
[ He can appreciate a good weapon and he's grateful that this isn't a Yaoi Oar fight to the death. His weapon of choice is a claymore with glowing RGB edges. It's now glowing orange because while his expression might not indicate that, he is very excited about this. ]
Let's begin.

We'll see if it's enough.
( Mithrun tips his chin toward Joonghyuk's own weapon, in acknowledgment that it, too, looks impressive. This won't be down to gear; largely skill, it seems like.
At the signal, Mithrun moves quick and kicks off his heel to dip straight against the border of melee range despite the size of his weapon. Not a moment spared for a wind-up or a size-up; he'd seen what he'd seen of Joonghyuk's stance, and any more than that was just loitering. He swings his broad claymore around with ferocity more than precision, bringing down his blade in a style Joonghyuk might recognize as Calamity (hover) - sacrificing damage (15 to hit for minor damage) for an attempt to disarm Joonghyuk (5 to disarm).
(With a 5, it might be obvious enough for Joonghyuk to recognize Mithrun missed such a close range target (his hands / whole weapon) not for lack of strength, which Mithrun seems to have plenty of, but for striking the weight of his blade into the wrong spot, just a little off; something about the misplacement seems less like inexperience, and more like an issue of aim.)
Without waiting to gauge for his success, he swings his blade back around to combo into the start of a Death Bringer, taking advantage of Edge Punisher's speed— but he doesn't quite finish his combo before Joonghyuk gets his chance to react. )

Not bad.
[ Chatting during battle might not be the best idea considering that Mithrun is already chaining into another skill, but it doesn't bother Joonghyuk that much. Obviously, he doesn't want to lose here, but more than anything he simply enjoys this, especially after seeing with his own eyes how much strength Mithrun possesses.
Well, at this level Edge Punisher skillset isn't too impressive, so he begins his combo with Calamity as well. The damage it causes isn't anything impressive much to Joonghyuk's disappointment (11 for minor damage), but at least the clanging sound of their claymores is satisfying during his attempt to disarm Mithrun (12 for a chance to disarm).
Rather than resorting to another skill, Joonghyuk decides to save it for later and keeps normal attacking (15 for minor damage) as the combo feels much faster than with a skill. ]

Your practice shows.
( They oughtn't be talking mid-battle, no, but it's satisfying to fight someone like this. He's not a gamer; he's not familiar with this thrill - it's new to him. But he doesn't dislike it. Though it's dulled, like most of his emotions, it blares just loud enough with the blood pumping in his ears that he feels something.
Is he having fun? Maybe.
He drives his blade forward to complete his Death Bringer, but the way he'd had to shift his grip to defend just earlier comes at the expense of the lethality of his attack - just a 12 to hit, though it'll crit if it hits (11 on a 10 or above to crit for Death Bringer). )

[ It's reassuring to meet at least one person who isn't around just to shitpost on the forums, but to actually play the game, even if PvP is just one of its many aspects. Talking during a duel might not be the best idea when his opponent is so well-prepared, and yet there's a certain charm to it, too.
His opinion doesn't change even after getting a critical hit from Death Bringer (12). It's a shame that they don't have all that many skills to show off yet, but Joonghyuk works with what he has, trying Disarm again. With his health points depleted to a fairly low level, preventing Mithrun from attacking full force seems to be his best bet. The sweep connects (19) and causes more damage than the first one, but disarming his opponent is unsuccessful (4).
From the way he sees it, there's no point in being careful—Joonghyuk charges in to continue the combo with normal attacks to cause low damage. Considering that the counterattack is just a matter of time, he will try to dodge but with no success (8). ]
Damn, this is different from MOBA...
