[ This is where Joonghyuk steps in to make sure that Brambles doesn't get hurt. The flowers are really targeting him as if they sensed he's a florist or something. ]

Well, the pain sensor is just vibrations... but the pain can get annoying. [ A beat. ] Wait, but that means... you were fighting in the dungeon with it turned on.

[ For all he knows, maybe Brambles enjoys some vibrations... ]

[ he chuckles actually, ]

Haha! Whoops. Come to think of it ... I think I was more surprised than hurt when that flower bit my leg. What a drama queen I am. It's a good thing I turned it off.

[ he casts a weak spell with his staff that sends an approaching flower hurling backwards. after two more hits of magic, it dies. ]

I feel like this is the opposite of floristry. Unless I pretend they're weeds.

Yeah, there's literally no point in being in pain because of a game.

[ Listen, he might be a gamer, but he's reasonable. ]

Whatever works for you. I mean they're preventing us from you showing me some flower arrangements, so they're clearly enemies.

I'd be alarmed if it was a feature, truthfully.

[ But, aww ... what the heck. Once he gets over his initial embarrassment, he notices how disappointed Punisher seems and the way he turns away is just so stinkin' cute. He smiles kindly after a deep breath. ]

Of course I want to do it. You're right, I can show you the method through the game. We'll do that.

[ He truly is like a spoiled brat now. Oh wait, he needs to slay that one flower monster that's approaching. ]

[ he sits himself down in the grass, disturbing some of the flowers. ]

[ Punisher needs to be level 101 to learn the skill accepting compliments, apparently. But at the very least sitting on the ground doesn't have such ridiculous requirements, so he just plops down next to Brambles. ]

Let's see ...

[ he runs his hands over some of the wildflowers beneath their feet. he reaches down to pick some out at the stem, bringing them to his nose to sniff. ]

Whoa ... they actually smell! Here. [ Bramb holds out a bunch of flowers in front of Punisher's nose for him to smell. ] Try it!

Impressive.

[ That's the comment he makes after sniffing the wildflowers. ]

This game could be useful in so many ways, it just needs a non-combat class system. I mean florists could practice this stuff... and other professions could benefit from this as well.

[ Man... just enjoy the flowers. ]

[ Bramb really loves the words that he uses. He sounds like such a seasoned gamer, yet ... he also seems to really care about this interest of his. It makes his heart do backflips. Friendship over video games is a powerful thing, he thinks fondly. ]

You're so insightful! I love it. It's so nice being in the company of a practical thinker like you, I can tell you really know your stuff when it comes to games. Since I'm so new to games, it's amazing to witness. I'm so happy I get to share my passion here, too.

The good thing is, to make a basic arrangement, you don't need string or conditioner. It's only for certain displays that need to have a long shelf life that you condition the flowers. [ he gestures. ] Pick some of those long gerberas. Right down to the root. Then peel the scraggly leaves off with your fingers until all you're left with is a strong stalk. Get a good few of them.

[ Is being sappy a part of the trade? Joonghyuk knows better than to ask, though. Mostly because he's been too flustered to say anything for a while. ]

Wait, I'm doing it now...?

[ He might be surprised, but at the very least he follows Brambles' instructions and carefully picks the long gerberas and takes care of the leaves. After peeling the leaves off all of the flowers he picked, Joonghyuk shifts his gaze to Brambles. Next steps, please!! ]

[ He leans over. ] Good! Those are perfect. Now, we need some smaller flowers. Gather all the gerberas together tightly and secure them with a grass knot. Just make sure you use a strong one. [ It's easy! He shows how - with one of the peeled leaves. ] This baby's breath is perfect ... pick some of this and then wrap it around the arrangement. Secure it with another knot.

[ There's just one last step after this! ]

[ Tying a grass knot proves to be a bit challenging because he keeps picking weaker ones, but eventually he finally secures the flowers and picks the baby's breath o decorate his arrangement with it. Thankfully the grass knot isn't as troublesome this time. ]

It looks nice. [ Joonghyuk's a bit surprised. ] I will remember this.

[ This action will have consequences... in the form of an arrangement for his little sister. ]

Right? It's easy and so simple. Keep the longer stems in the centre along with the big flowers. Fan out and use the smaller ones to buff out the bouquet. Now ... [ he glances around, looking for some leaves. ] Back in a moment! [ he quickly heads to a nearby bush to grab some leaves and notices some roses, which he picks. he brings the roses to his nose for a quick sniff - and it truly smells like rose! this game is amazing! ]

Look! Roses! How exciting! Okay ... final step. Now we just use these leaves to add some layering around the bottom, and ... one final tie around the middle, and we're done!

[ this is what they'll end up with! ]

[ Joonghyuk stares at the finished product of their joined efforts in silence. Not that he knows much about flowers or arrangements, but it looks really good, even if it might seem plain and simple to someone more experienced. ]

Can I... keep it?

[ He slowly turns his head to look Brambles straight in the eyes. ]

[ as their eyes meet, he smiles brightly. ]

Of course you can! It's all for you!

[ Joonghyuk puts the flowers into his inventory... ]

This beta sucks.

[ He quickly loops two flowers together with a grass root and puts them into Brambles' hair to check if they're going to become separate items or just stay as a wearable. It's the latter, thankfully. ]
