11/05 — ΣHeartless Snaring Cathedral...?

Who: █████ & visitors
What: scheming
Where: Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground (Hulle Granz Cathedral)
When: Sunday, 11/05
Warnings: to be added
[ Despite the ominous aura, the haunted tower has seen no shortage of visitors recently. But for those who gate in today the air itself is different. The skies are black, and the mist that had blanketed only the top of the tower now pours out across the plains, shrouding the ruined city from sight.
Anyone who goes looking for the master of the tower will find that the room he occupied before now holds only a single door, standing unsupported in the middle of the room. It beckons, tugging with a terrible compulsion — you know whatever sight awaits you is one you'll later wish you could forget, and yet... you look. But the door opens only onto the bridge leading to Hulle Granz Cathedral, where the first quiet strains of choral music through the open doors guides you on. ]
((Note: Characters are welcome to receive the location from any other player and gate directly to Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Allowing those who found his tower inaccessible to come join, too, is cruelty.))
ROUND 4 (1/2)
Oh... And I suppose you had no part in that? You were never a catalyst for their suffering?
[ Shouldn't have hinted darkly on the forums, Hector. But his efforts restore Yael's health, so that particular crisis is avoided. And with Nanashi and Noe's efforts, Sinclair and Owen have their damage healed.
Oria's barrage of bullets connects, piercing through Gorre and passing through; though those spectral swords can still block bullets, and do, deflecting them away from the doors. One strikes a corner of Sinclair's door as it ricochets... and the door sways. But despite the bullets passing through Gorre, Oria's efforts are far from futile. With the help of Yael's little Data Drain debuffing his defense, Gorre's HP drops notably more than it had for any hit in his first form... and still more for Fai's MeAni Zot, the purple flames of the arena flaring bright. Back down to 90% health for Gorre with those two hits alone —
And then Levi's summons hits the doors. For the instant before it connects the red flames dance wildly, their glow and the phoenix seeming to resonate. Despite that, the doors take no damage; but the wave of flame does slam them shut.
Abruptly as that, the tethers cut and the candleflames turn pure colorless again. Gorre turns corporeal, though back (temporarily) at full health thanks to the effects of the drain. Sinclair and Owen are now freed from Whispers of the Witch! ]
ROUND 4 (2/2)
How long until you tire of this...?
[ He can go all day... clearly. Kara is rewarded for her attack with the backswing (4) of a sword wielded by a phantom arm, missing badly. The followup GiGan Crack hits Albedo (13), sending rocks just grazing past Dehya (7). Oria receives another glancing strike with a sword (9) in his distraction over Sinclair; Fai, beside Yael, a weakly-aimed Vak Slash (9). And one sword sweeps towards Ganymede again (2), falling far short of the dancer's quick steps.
Near Miharu, another door swings open; the emptiness inside drags her in, calling to her with far sweeter whispers than Owen and Sinclair were treated to. Enjoy your nap until you return, Miharu! ]

Miharu!
[ It's not a name she's known as, but it slips into Fai's memory nevertheless as he calls it out. Fai tries to run, to grab her before she can disappear, but he's too late. Gripping his tome tightly in his hands, he fires another spell. Leaves sweep over the area and around Gorre, but his BiJuk Rom (6) is notably weaker than any of his other spells have been in this fight.
He's been emotionally compromised and it shows. ]

He serves with a lousy Ruem Spiral (5) in return, though. ]

[Fortunately for Yael, a meager (7) is still a hit. Strengthened by the rhythmic gyrations of Ganymede's hips (otherwise known as a dance), Yael rushes into the fray and twirls his twin blades in each hand, a flurry of purple anemone petals encircling Gorre. If they make contact with him, he'll lose HP, but even if they don't, Yael's passed on his incredibly shitty luck onto him. Enjoy!]

But he can control that anger. Hone it into something deadly.
He picks up his lance once more as he charges in, delivering a Vak Tornado (14) straight for Michel's head]
We'll keep going. Until you go down-! Let Miharu go.

You'll have to be a lot tougher than that if you think we're gonna stop now!

[ With Owen fully restored and free from his tether, Memoir is going to spring into action and try to attack Gorre. He's going to come at him with Twin Darkness (8), with his 25% attack boost from his armor, in hopes that it'll help bring Miharu back. ]
Let her go!

a glance around shows them that people are relatively (??) alright...? then scitalis gets dragged through a door like she's not ready to come out of the closet yet. hm. hmmmm. ]
Duk Lei (12)...?
[ let's just poison the door in case outright destroying it will kill scitalis too! they're not thinking too hard about whether a door can be poisoned. ]
I am quite tired, actually. Nevertheless I will not be stopped - we will not be stopped until you are back with us.

[ He'll uh, follow that up with a Lotus Flower (7). He's regaining his composure, it's not at it's best right now... ]

Kara is unimpressed. Her hit isn't as powerful as it should be, but she does manage to land GiVak Rampage (5) onto Gorre. ]

[Shoka growls, dashing after Miharu and swapping back to Flick Reaper so she can hit the door with a Reaper's Touch - high chance of crit (9)]

Not until you give her back to us!

the other phantom operatives also get nods, sorry for oversleeping or whatever he was doing
anyway, he goes straight for an attack bc that's one too many arms. he aims for the arm with the lowest HP (if they even have HP) - a fiery givak rampage (17), which, now that i'm actually reading the description, hits multiple targets but i'm too lazy to backspace ]

The coming of the latest combatant is preceded by the faint sound of a distant but familiar siren's song that drifts like the mists through the cool air of the cathedral, pervasive, but diluted and soft; this Area is Gorre's, not his, and so his song is softer here, than it would be in that false home in the ocean Lily had once granted him. Still, he presses forward on unsteady legs, though walking on land still feels like glass.
The song winds its way around Gorre, and suddenly he is overtaken with the crushing fear of loss; the cold-sweat, stomach-churning sensation of unrequited love. His thoughts may or may not drawn to Ganymede in this moment is possible... that isn't Mithrun's call; not anymore. In concert, the Despair hooks into his body with its teeth and its claws, halving his movement speed and Blinding him (7). )
Does this whet your appetite, Gorre?
( In the dim-lit dark, a small figure joins the fray, his eyes covered by a wedding veil, and his garb a high-low wedding gown. The song comes to a soft close around him, seeming to have originated from him in a vague and general sense, and in his wake there is a faintly sweet scent. He draws his massive greatsword, a grand thing near all made out of a blue-rose bouquet, vine-like blade serrated with thorns.
A quick inspection tells you this is Mithrun1, but, more curiously, he appears to have a Magical DEF Down debuff on him with no listed end duration. Don't worry about it. Thankfully, he also has a huge buff to his HP. )

Mithrun...!
[He thought Mithrun would still be resting along with Barrett, but...the more he thinks about it, the more unsurprised he is that Mithrun wouldn't just sit around.
--also why is he in a wedding dress, did Barrett propose????????]

Gorre's words might be directed toward Tylor, but Levi has plenty to say about them.]
You saw us against Tarvos and Macha. You know how long we can go!
[He promised to make good use of Ganymede's physical attack buff, so he swaps over to his sword. Its fine edge glints in the darkness before he leaps forward to strike:]
Razor's Edge!
[It's a hit, and a pretty solid one at that (17).]
