After some friendly chats, the trio decide to go out on a dungeon run together. Why? Simply because that that is the way the dominoes fell.
Their prize? A lovely scenery consisting of a frosty, snowy tundra that seems to encompass the surrounding area, though right in the middle of it is stone wall, of which there is an entry point into the actual heart of the dungeon...where there are monsters and treasure to be found!

Great work! That was hardly a warmup.
[ She's itching for more. They'll be in good shape if they keep this up this pace.
Deeper into the tundra they go. The snowfall appears to thicken further in, the winds growing more biting as well. A trio of prickly starfish-shaped enemies emerge from the snowstorm. The monsters puff up and launch their spiky bodies at them. ]

[ Ganymede already is, given the way he is already moving into action, testing out Miu Lei at least on one of the enemies, which does well in charming at least that number out of the little gang, to turn it on its friends temporarily.
That leaves at least two available targets. Or well still three, but two for a short time to worry about in terms of being attacked. ]

and good news! he's not getting countered this time, as he sends one of them flailing backwards with one swing (16). ]
Think there's a theme? [ a beat, then: ] Like... sunken treasure under the sea?

Then we'll send them to a watery grave and claim their treasure!
[ Or snowy grave?? Anyway, she's getting a little into this.
The starfish apparently don't take well to being threatened. They pivot on their pointed feet and unleash a rapid spin, dislocating the spikes from their body and shooting them out towards the players. Watch out! ]

[ Oh. What timing, it seems that the starfish have a very difficult time hitting Ganymede. Why? It might be the sudden fog that's appearing around him as he's dancing around, effortlessly evading any stray enemy hits.
He also adds insult to injury by throwing another debuff towards two of the attacking enemies. Mumyn Lei's the culprit, putting them to sleep for about a temporary spot, because who said he had to play fair?
The charmed enemy is still hitting at least one of its original compatriots (for one more turn, at least.) At least two of the enemies are at half points now. ]

[ deflecting them to some degree at least keeps him from sustaining TOO much damage, but. he's trying his best?
with a half-hearted attempt at a swing, he DOES bat one back at one of the starfish monsters (18). ]

[ Noir is forced to stop shooting and dodge when the spikes shoot out, but unfortunately she's not quick enough to get away unscathed (3). As she repositions, she tries to reopen fire, but between the snow and the fog, she finds her aim thrown off (7).

Though he's not done with that just yet. Quietly he leaps back into the fray, more front and center just to whack all three of their enemies, blinding each one of them, and stunlocking the previously charmed opponent so it's busy contending with him. He has a lower physical strength output, but his fast strikes make it difficult to retaliate.
As for the other two newly awakened starfish, well. Next time they try to land a hit on the party, their attacks will be done with far less accuracy due to their debuffed blind status. Just a couple more hits on at least two of the original targets will down them. ]

but he does get a front row seat to watching ganymede hecking wreck those monsters? albeit he's more or less whittling them down, but that's more than enough. ]
Yeah, yeah... I'm up.
[ gritting his teeth, he's got more than enough energy to spare. cyno raises his scythe again and takes a few steps forward before gaining some momentum, again swinging his weapon around--- this time in a more controlled manner with a lotus flower.
the first part of the combo hits, but the second one doesn't while he somehow recovers and hits the third (19, 3, 16).

Right! We were going to finish this quickly.
[ The battle has lit a fire in her, and she's no longer feeling the cold as she strikes back with a Double Shot. The first bullet goes stray (3), but the second one nails the starfish in its face (19). It goes down, collapsing next to the one Jackal has cut into ribbons. The last starfish had better start running. ]

Ganymede is appreciative to see that they're coming together properly in all of this. With two enemies defeated, that leaves just the last one that's attempting to defy them all, but with another few hits from him it manages to be stunlocked and another affliction of blind. ]
Just one more left. Let's put an end to this second wave.
[ He leaps out of the way of a still desperate movement for the thing to attack, but that leaves an opening for one of the other two to jump right in to finish it off...! ]

It was a bit rough, but I can keep going. Oh, shall we try strengthening ourselves for the final match?
[ She produces from her inventory a few different potions she'd obtained at the crafts fair. Pick your buff. ]

[ Ganymede won't refuse a strenghtening potion! So he will reach out and take one of those. ]

[ He will wait to see if the other takes one before thinking of moving on. ]

[ Like Ganymede, Noir selects a strengthening potion. DPS gotta DPS. She raises her glass to them and downs the drink. Now to hurry and finish this while they're powered up...
A few skirmishes later, they reach the heart of the dungeon. The ground begins to rumble and the music picks up for dramatic effect. Then a giant watersaurus emerges from the snowy tundra, swimming in the white powder as if it were the sea. You've heard of land shark, now get ready for tundra shark.
Of course, the monster locks its hungry eyes on the player that's taken the potion of luring. ]

Well then, there's the accursed large monster coming right at them! It's not like it's something to be playing around with, and of course he so happens to see that it's taken notice of Cyno right away.
Ganymede immediately leaps into action. It isn't like the other male has taken a strenghtening potion so he doesn't have to bother questioning if it will stack. Once dance, he's tossing a debuff Dek Do at the creature to slow it down.
But he's also keying up to do another. A buff of temporary increase in physical strength for both of his allies, courtesy of another usage of La Corv. ]

[ it doesn't even hesitate directing its attention at cyno; the flick reaper audibly gulps in turn. as it charges at him, he notices two things at almost the same time: that he feels suddenly stronger, and that the monster also seems to be charging a little slower? enough for him to react.

his blow is seemingly ineffective (4) as he doesn't time it up quite right, instead having to hop backward to keep himself from getting toppled over. ]

[ when he tries to swing again, it's almost like he can't keep himself from whiffing (2). where is his luck... where did it go? ]

The watersaurus is surprisingly quick for its size. Perhaps it's seeing red after encountering trespassers. ]

[ Noir has a clear sight to her target with Jackal occupying the monster. She feels strength coursing through her as she fires a round of bullets (15, 10, 7) at the slowed enemy. The beast's hide is thick in places, lessening the damage, but in others— ]
I think its belly might be its weak point!

Ganymede's thinking about leaping right in, thinking it might be a problem, and aims his bladed fans towards its belly, resulting in... (20, 20, 19)
Well, let us say that even for a support-level person like him, Ganymede's essentially stun-locked the enemy so that it has difficulty making another charge. But, its HP still have a little bit to go. He thinks that another round of hits from both Cyno and Haru should be enough to finish it. ]
Alright, let's finish this guy off!
[ He's having faith in y'all's capabilities. You can do it, fam! ]

he's got the SP to blow. the belly is exposed. all he has to do is run in, hit it with another reaper's touch. in fact, he's hyped up? there's no way this can possibly fail?
cyno charges. bam (18)! the sound of a strike actually hitting is music to his ears. another one (19)! will he finally finish a combo? will he finally be the one to actually end an encounter early and feel like... you know... cool and stuff................

...and that opening is enough for Haru to land a piercing Thorn Shot where the monster has already been smacked. The bullet rips completely through its pixelated body and out the other end. It's a KO!
The battle music fades, and the storm becomes a gentle snowfall. Noir beams at them, not a trace of fatigue on her face. Rather, she feels refreshed from the violence. ]

[ He means it despite the way he says it rather gently...just because someone flubbed an attack towards the end doesn't mean it was a terrible result. No one got KO'd, which is good enough for him. ]
I think we should see what kind of treasures up ahead? Provided we don't run into anymore monsters.

he wipes his forehead. yeah, there's a couple beads of sweat there. and he appreciates ganymede's tone because otherwise he would feel even worse--- cyno did purposefully take the potion that would draw attention to him and attention he received. ]

[ Towards the very back of the dungeon are glittering treasure chests, and more of them than usual, too. Hoarded and previously guarded by the fallen watersaurus. It seems they've hit the jackpot! ]
