[ Following some enlightening discussions that have more or less blossomed into actual plans, an unlikely band of four adventurers assemble!

Names added to friends' lists, details hashed out, which means one thing and one thing only, that the next point some adventuring is happening. Though, given that it is everyone's (probable?) first time, it seems that there is no way for anybody to choose specific places or areas they might like!

Thankfully, that's what the random Area Exploration mechanic is for.

Ganymede steps forward, and just decides to select a perfect set of coordinates for everyone...



...Not! As if even he can be decisive at this point. He lets everyone know that these are the keywords they'll be working with. "Coiling Friend's Tiny Beast", that is.

So once the Chaos Gate is utilized for them to all cross over...

Welcome to the wonderful location of Coiling Friend's Tiny Beast! Apparently it's an area that has a rocky desert-like appearance that stretches out for miles on end. Not to mention, there is a wonderful-looking flesh wall that is the proper beginning of the dungeon crawling, and entry point into the actual dungeon that is bound to be teeming with treasure and creatures.

But, they're not inside that wall as of yet. ]

I've had cotton candy, but I've never had the fried food.

[ He's never been drawn to it, but right now?

He could use something nice and deep fried. ]

I've heard funnel cake is good... at least, the signs around here said it was.

I've had it before. Funnel cake too...neither of which are any good for my figure.

[ Of course a dancer like himself would be concerned with what he eats...

But hey! Time to direct them straight towards where they're serving said food. ]

Fortunately, one of the good things about this game is that we don't have to worry much about that either.

[ He pats Ganymede on the back. ]

So, why don't you lead the way? Let's have as many fried treats as we please.

[ A small, slow blink (like a cat) as he's pat against the back. Then, he continues to lead over to some of the fried vendor stands.

First to where they're serving corndogs. Yum! ]

How about this one first?

Oh, corndogs! I haven't had these in a while.

[ All microwaved. The fair food version is a new experience for him.

Fai picks one up, sniffing it first. ]

It smells great.

...What do you normally eat, anyway?

[ Ganymede asks before inelegantly stuffing one down.

Fortunately, it seems they taste as good as they smell. ]

Salad, roasted fish, nuts, potatoes, baked goods...

[ Norwegian food, mostly. ]

What about you?

[ganymed]

I like my seafood, sweets, fruits, pastas, yogurts, ice cream...those types of things.

[ Basically things that would be local to the area, and he might have a mild sweet tooth, but that's fine. ]

I won't say I'm a picky either, though. I'll try anything at least once.

[fluorite]

I'm only picky with some things. I hate sour or bitter flavors.

[ But this corndog is neither, so Fai will eat it with ease, taking a big bite out of it before holding it out to Ganymede. ]

...I can understand that.

[ He blinks, as the other is holding it out to him. ]

I suppose having more can't hurt. When in Rome, as they say?

[ Ganymede also makes a gesture to a nearby stall too which is also selling some kind of drinks. Something refreshing to go with their snacks, as it were. ]

[ He eyes the drink stall, perking up at how sweet the drinks seem to be. ]

Ah, a good catch. We should go there too.

[ Actually, he's not gonna wait for Ganymede to agree. He's just going to waltz on over. ]

[ganymed]

[ He is considering reaching for it, and then the other moves right on over to the drinks. He'll follow right on over.

Let's say they've got some cool sodas and slushie drinks?? ]

Aren't you in a hurry?

[ Now, to pick what kind of flavor. They've got at least cotton candy, blueberry, bubblegum, and others... ]

[ He gets a cotton candy slushie for himself, grinning as he turns to Ganymede. ]

Who wouldn't be in a hurry? [ Most normal people, that's who. ] Want me to pick your flavor?

[ganymed]

[ Most normal people certainly wouldn't be...though Ganymede isn't rude enough to say something like that in those exact words. ]

Usually people take their time in carnivals going from stall to stall. Curiosity?

[ Or maybe, in a hurry to try to do more in order to help put aside further the remembrance of their traumatic events that they witnessed together. Ganymede doesn't let the thought linger longer than it should, though. ]

...Sure. I don't really have one in mind. Which one are you aiming for?

[ He absolutely should, though. ]

Hmmm... I was thinking of getting the bubblegum one for you.

[ Simply because Fai has a feeling that's not a flavor Ganymede would typically go for. He glances over to see if he can tell that he's right just by the look on his face. ]

[ganymed]

Because it clashes with my aesthetic?

[ A slight dry joke...

Though, Fai can witness the deadpan right on the other blond's face, which is probably telling enough. ]

You also didn't answer my first question.

[ Just popping that back into there while he's at it. ]

[ He laughs, thoroughly soaking up that deadpan look. If he knew Ganymede wouldn't just walk away, he'd say that look is cute. ]

That's right.

[ But... hm. He remembers the question, but in typical fashion he furrows his brows. ]

[ Fai saving Ganymede more embarrassment (for now) ]

...You seemed in a rush a bit earlier. It was just a simple question, but I was wondering about it a little.

[ He looks at the bubblegum drink and begins to reach for it. ]

Given we still have a lot of time on our hands. Is that just you being enthusiastic?

He lets out a soft sigh before taking a sip of his drink. Is he that obvious? Fai is starting to think he just might be, what with the number of people that have called him out in this game. ]

I'd say partly enthusiastic.

...I guess that's what matters the most.

[ Ganymede takes a sip from his bubblegum drink. He really wouldn't have chosen this normally...probably blueberry.

He seems to be considering something, before beginning to speak. ]

I remember being the same at one point, when I started going.

Even though I'd never gone to the city much until I was a certain age, my parents wanted my brothers and I to experience the same kind of enjoyment as other children who were. I grew up in a really small town, so I was always amazed whenever I saw things outside of it.

Imagining a little you running around all amazed is a fun image.

[ But he's straying from the topic out of habit, trying to bring it off of himself, so he reins himself back in. Ganymede is sharing, so it's only fair if he does in turn. ]

I was shocked when I first came to a city in the US. Where I grew up in Norway was relatively tiny.

[ganymed]

W-well...

[ Ganymede looks mildly embarrassed and a bit huffy at the comment.

But, he is glad to hear that Fai's managing to share, even a little bit — Fai's from Norway, though, huh? There's plenty far in terms of where the blond moved to now, but it seems like they might have a similarity — in being from a small place, that is. ]

...You too? I didn't know you were from a small town. Was yours rural as well? I never came to the US, but I don't think it would take very long from Norway to Greece.

Ah, so you're from Greece?

[ That certainly explains Ganymede's username.

But Fai hums in thought. ]

I wouldn't say it was rural as much as it was old and located on a fjord. There was a sizable population, but nothing like the millions you see in American cities.

[ganymed]

[ A small nod to affirm that. As for the other subject: ]

...Hmm. I'm not sure what that would look like, exactly.

[ He's heard of fjords in geography classes, probably, but yeah. ]

Do you or did you ever revisit your home town?

[ He'd be more than happy to give Ganymede a little lesson on Trondheim's geography. ]

Nope. I haven't been back ever since I moved here. I've never had a reason to.

[ Nor has he had enough money. ]
