[ Following some enlightening discussions that have more or less blossomed into actual plans, an unlikely band of four adventurers assemble!

Names added to friends' lists, details hashed out, which means one thing and one thing only, that the next point some adventuring is happening. Though, given that it is everyone's (probable?) first time, it seems that there is no way for anybody to choose specific places or areas they might like!

Thankfully, that's what the random Area Exploration mechanic is for.

Ganymede steps forward, and just decides to select a perfect set of coordinates for everyone...



...Not! As if even he can be decisive at this point. He lets everyone know that these are the keywords they'll be working with. "Coiling Friend's Tiny Beast", that is.

So once the Chaos Gate is utilized for them to all cross over...

Welcome to the wonderful location of Coiling Friend's Tiny Beast! Apparently it's an area that has a rocky desert-like appearance that stretches out for miles on end. Not to mention, there is a wonderful-looking flesh wall that is the proper beginning of the dungeon crawling, and entry point into the actual dungeon that is bound to be teeming with treasure and creatures.

But, they're not inside that wall as of yet. ]

[ Giving a bit of a small nod. ]

I already enjoy what I'm doing where I live, but I know for me being nearby my family is important as well.

[ So, comfortable place, family close by, and where he is able to do the dream job is ideal. ]

[ Fai simply nods at that. For a lot of people, being near family really is one of the most important things. It's no longer really applicable to him, however. ]

What do you do?

[ganymed]

[ What a topic to engage in, considering what they both had seen, right?

But, he pauses at the question. He hasn't told Fai? ...Right, just Michel, Dehya, and Justy, he thinks. ]

I'm a dancer.

[ He does a little twirl, even with a funnel cake in hand. ]

But I usually only put on dancing for theatre performances.

Oh, a dancer? That fits well with your class.

[ But he's honestly impressed. Fai hasn't met many dancers in his life. ]

You do theatre, but does it cover all sorts of styles?

[ganymed]

That's admittedly most of the reason why I chose this class.

[ Either way, Ganymede has a smile on his face. He likes talking about it, mmkay...! ]

A multitude of them, yes. After all, many shows don't stick to just on style of dancing. Fortunately, I'd already had a lot of experience before I took the job I have now at the local theatre.

[ That smile only makes Fai's grow more genuine. For as hard as he likes to keep his distance from others, he sure likes hearing about the things they enjoy. ]

You started dancing as a child, then?

[ganymed]

That's right.

[ There is hardly anyone in his family who doesn't know how to; whether or not they've gone rusty is a matter of debate, but the steps are easy to remember. ]

...Everyone in my family liked to dance. And it was expected for me to follow suit as the youngest, but I always loved it. In some ways, I think I can count myself fortunate—to be able to stick with what I liked. Not everyone can do that, even if they want to.

[ He takes another bite out of his funnel cake, finishing it. ]

I think so too. I feel the same way, even if I discovered my own passion when I was a teenager.

[ Fai follows suit and takes a bite of funnel cake too, waiting until he's finished chewing before speaking up again. ]

I'm actually really happy for you. It's nice that you've had that throughout your life.

[ Despite the hardships, one of which Fai witnessed not long ago. ]

[ganymed]

[ Ganymede remembers, how people he once knew seemed to never know how to talk to him. He knows that for some, people don't believe others after traumatic events can pick themselves up again.

Or move forward. Or even attain happiness. Some might even begrudge people managing that kind of success or just those attempts to stand on one's own feet, after everything. So for Fai to say that, it makes him quiet, unsure of what to say. ]

I...I'm glad you said that.

[ His words are clumsy, but he means it. They both know what it's like, to go through hardship, and yet, here they are. He also looks down. ]

...You too, though. It goes both ways. Even if you found yours later.

[fluorite]

[ He can’t believe he’s managed to make Ganymede speechless in a positive way. It’s exciting, he won’t lie.

But even so, his smile isn’t completely bright. There’s a hint of sadness there, one that permeates through in the way his lips don’t quite turn up at the corners as much as they should. ]

Thanks. I mean it.

[ His own happiness hasn’t arrived, not yet. While Fai has had brief glimpses of it, that happiness has always been more of a flicker than a steady light, even with his own passion right in front of him. ]

[ganymed]

[ Easily noticeable...perhaps because of what they both saw. And even before that, what must be always lying somewhere underneath any level of normalcy. ]

...I'm just glad I could return the favor. But, it's not a matter of that either.

I guess I'd also maybe say 'here's to our future' or something like that, but my drink's all gone.

[ And even if Fai's dream is farther still from being properly held, Ganymede thinks he deserves that eventuality. Of achieving happiness, like how normal people do. It's what he wants to do himself as well, after all. ]

[ He laughs softly, holding up his own still unfinished drink. ]

Well, let's use my drink instead. Here's to our future~

[ His smile is a little bit brighter as he lifts it up into the air bringing it back down to take a long sip. ]

I hope you make it big... if you haven't already.

[ganymed]

[ After the moment of cheers, in which Ganymede gives a nod with a little smile, he can't help but see the way Fai's smile brightens with a bit more warmth as a comfort. He hopes he can make it happen again. ]

...Thank you. I wouldn't exactly call myself one of those overly popular figures in the media, so in some terms, maybe I haven't, but I think I have where it matters.

[ Being on a stage consistently in front of so many eyes, dancing, performing—that's pretty big in of itself, right? ]

So, it's good enough for me.

As long as it's enough for you... that really is all that matters in the end. You seem like you have your head right on your shoulders, so I know I don't need to tell you not to listen to other people's expectations.

[ Besides, it would make him sound like an old man when Ganymede is only a year younger. ]

[ganymed]

...Of course I won't.

[ Fai doesn't sound like an old man ever, and it helps that Ganymede often has a very large stubborn streak. He'll keep to it, though he thinks he appreciates the thought behind his words.

He'll place his hands behind his own back, looking thoughtful, and his next words are firm: ]

No one controls me, after all. [ ... ] Was there something else you wanted to see in the carnival...or do something we haven't done yet?

[fluorite]

[ Fai gives that some thought before eventually shaking his head. ]

Nope.

[ He shoots a glance over at Ganymede. ]

Not unless you wanted to do anything else.

[ganymed]

No, not really. But we can always do whatever later.

...I think I should probably head back now.

[ He places his hands behind his back, rocking a little on his feet. ]

I'll see you.

[ Ganymede will wait a bit to hear a parting, at the least, but he will log off afterwards. ]

[ Fai gives him a little wave and a softer than usual smile. ]
