[The time has come... for fun! Δ Haggard Traveler's Reprieve has been decorated with all the niceties that a beach party requires - docks for fishing, large umbrellas to hide from the sun, several tables with sets of chairs for sitting and conversing, and the most obvious addition: a massive roaring bonfire with a big cooking mesh over the top of it for barbecue cookin'!

Leo's wearing a fishing hat and aviators alongside his trademark loincloth-and-nothing-else getup for maximum dissonance. From his position on the other side of the bonfire, he waves a hand at those arriving.]

Welcome to the Beach Bash! Snacks and drinks are on the tables, bottles of sunscreen and crafting tables are under the umbrellas, and complementary fishing gear are at the docks for your convenience. Have fun, friends~

[Emperor Grunty is also here, should you wish to annoy him! He's currently laying in the sand with a reflector. What? Grunties need their sun too!]

[Levi isn't present the entire day due to having IRL plans (yes it's a surprise to him too), but he does spend some time at the party! He'd usually consider this too normie of an activity for him, but...unlike at the start of the beta, he doesn't require quite as much guilt-tripping to attend. He also has a summer skin (+ horns and tail) from the carnival, so he might as well use it...

He can be found in a few places:

1. Combing the beach for any fun crafting materials.
2. Practicing his crafting at one of the crafting tables set up.
3. Hiding from the sun under one of the umbrellas with some tasty BBQ in hand. He doesn't know if he can get sunburned here but he doesn't want to find out. Look at how pale he is.
4. Swimming in the ocean. He actually looks very happy and peaceful in the water. He even swims surprisingly fast. Who would have guessed?
5. Wildcard it up.]

[ Sup, Levi! Memoir spots the crafting table, remembers that's what he saw Swallow using earlier, and decides to go over to give it a look. He peeks over at whatever Levi's making. ]

What are you working on?

[Levi stops with a jolt, but thankfully doesn't mess up whatever he's working on.]

...Seeing if I can make any decent jewelry with some shells that I found on the beach.

[He peers back to see who's bugging him... Oh? A new face.]

Who are you?

A newbie, apparently. Memoir.

[ Level 1 baybeeee. Memoir's giving Levi a kind smile, though, and he glances over at what Levi's working on again. ]

How is it? It looks difficult, but you're doing a good job.

Huh. I didn't know they were still adding testers a month in. [He fully faces Memoir and nods.] Well, welcome to the game, Memoir. I'm L3V147H4N.

[Said like "Leviathan."

While he was a little perturbed to be interrupted, Memoir seems nice enough. Plus, he's not gonna be standoffish with a newbie.

He turns back to the crafting table. Right now he has a sharktooth necklace in progress.]

You think so? It's actually pretty therapeutic. I make stuff like this for cosplay IRL but it's a lot less time-consuming when you put game mechanics into the mix, lol.

L3V147H4N? That's a nice name.

[ He means that. It sounds cool, and he's grateful that Levi's being so nice to him. Some people have been a little prickly -- not that it bothers him that much, because he's used to dealing with assholes, but it's nice to talk to a friendlier face. ]

It's better than anything I could make. I've never tried cosplay before, but I've heard about the amount of work that goes into that sort of thing...

[ He's not a nerd, you see. He's even more normie than Kara is. ]

But, this seems like something you've got experience in. Once I get cooking down, I'll make you something in exchange for an accessory. How does that sound?

[While taking a break from cooking, Leo's got a lounge chair set up on one of the docks, fishing pole in one hand and a fancy drink in the other. He nods to Levi, peering at the other man over his aviators.]

Found anything interesting yet?

[Levi's just picked up a nice-looking sand dollar when Leo calls out to him.

Wow, Leo's looking like the epitome of chill. He sure commits to his guild motto. Eh. Levi can respect that.

Anyway, he'll approach to share his current spoils. Leo might notice that Levi himself is a little more chill since they last spoke.]

Lots of good quality shells and shark teeth around. Pluuuus...check this out.

[He rifles to the bottom of his bag to produce a handful of sea glass.]

Huge score, right? This'll be perfect for my jeweler job.

Oh ho, nice finds.

[Leo sets his drink down on the dock and reaches out to touch the glass. What a pleasant texture!]

I'm sure you'll be able to make some good stuff with this.

[Eventually he grabs his drink and takes a nice big sip.]

Y'know, if you manage to find any purple glass, I'd be willing to trade you for some. I've got a mishmash of mats from all over - I'm sure there would be something you'd like among all of my junk. [He says the 'word' junk lovingly.]

That's the goal. I figure sea glass has the appeal of being unique among all the run of the mill jewels.

[The idea of a trade seems to excite him. He brightens up and nods as he stashes the glass back into his inventory.]

S-Sure! I'll keep looking and let you know if I come across any. If you've got any yellow or gold materials, that's what I'd want.

Seems like a simple enough proposition. I'll dig through my guild storage later and see what yellow and gold stuff I have.

[Leo tips his baseball cap and takes another sip of his drink.]

How has your overall experience been with Fragment so far? As a fellow 'hardcore gamer', I'm sure you have opinions on the matter.

[ Albedo looks extremely out of place due to definitely being over-dressed for a party, but eh. Don't worry about it. ]

Item synthesis in a realistic game such as this can be considered a worthy pursuit.

[Whoa, so many unfamiliar faces today... It's draining his social battery faster than he'd like, honestly.]

They just added it in this week. It's a nice change of pace from all the dungeon crawling, plus we can turn in all our junk for something cool and useful.

I'm mostly just trying to figure out recipes for my jeweler job right now. Figured I'd see what I could make using stuff I found here on the beach.
