[Sinclair stares at Cyno for a long moment before he hesitantly nods.]

Mm. [Does he have potions?? He feels like he should offer one, but Cyno said 'no'. He shouldn't be pushy] I'm sure we're more than half way through now.

[Onwards to finding the boss room!!]

Feels like it. Hopefully the boss isn't any harder than what we've just fought.

[ because he doesn't want to like. you know. get murdered? he really should accept the potion, but at the same time--- they can do this! he believes in them!!! ]

Maybe it'll be something that stays on the ground and doesn't fling projectiles and it'll just... give up?

[ yeah. optimism! ]

It'd be nice if we could find something like that at the end of the dungeon...

[ Cyno??? such optimism. he's really concerned now. anyway through the dungeon they go, Luckily without enemies until they come across

a High Wolf?]

[ no more enemies! well, except for the wolf? at least it seems friendly enough. ]

[ is that being too condescending? anyway, it comes up to cyno and nudges his foot. ]

[It wags his tail, looking hopeful. Sinclair looks at it grimly]

[ who would do that. who would kick a wolf. he doesn't want to kick it? hello? ]

[ internally shaking and crying ]

[Shaking too. Last time, it had been an accident!!]

[ he squeezes his eyes shut as he pulls his foot back and then just boots it. ]

[ why did it explode into HEALING ITEMS????????¿¿ ]

Ah.

[Just. Catching those potions. Five each. He looks at Cyno grimly. And proceeds to dump one of them on his head. Heal up, buddy.]

[ ugh now he looks like a wet dog... but he can't shake the potion out until it works? also, he doesn't want to splash sinclair?? ]

[ thankfully it all dries up pretty quickly as his HP bar fills. ]

... I still feel bad, you know.

I-It's fine. I'm sure it was happy you kicked it.

[ he's not sure if there's ever been a dog or wolf that's been happy about that kind of attention... ]

Well. It's over. I guess we're... we did it.

[ yes. they did it. even if it ends on a relatively sour note. ]

Wonder if there's more wolves... I'm not going to kick the next one.

Maybe we can just...ignore it.

[NO MORE KICKING ANIMALS. Anyway onwards they go, to the end of the dungeon--what monsters will they find here??]

[ the last room of the dungeon is unfortunately one that contains some of these guys.

and when cyno sees them, he groans. ]

What's up with this dungeon?

[ they're mostly chilling right now, not aggroed just quite yet. ]

Ugh. [He hates sky fish so much??] Let's do our best.

[Once they step inside though...]

[ all the fish turn their heads around at the same time like O_O

and cyno also goes O_O

just a classic stare down before he takes initiative. the first and closest fish is totally going to get walloped. except it isn't because a 9 says 'no'.

so instead cyno finds himself getting repelled as the fish lunges back and gives him a love tap back (14). ]

[Well. That's no good. Sinclair is right by Cyno's side, stabbing away with a triple wield. Unfortunately, the fish are faster than Sinclair, so only one stab (14) gets in, because the other two whiffed (7, 8).

At least his attack is high enough that the sky fish dies an inglorious death]

[ would he trade a little bit of mobility to gain some strength? get a little more force behind his swings?? probably. he doesn't mind being able to knock things back; it's kind of fun to watch things get displaced by those long arcs...

anyway. it's not like cyno's been incapacitated or anything so he's back and ready.

two solid swings this time (14, 17)! one of the fish is sliced clean into pieces, the other one getting sent to the ground. ]

There's just a few more.

[They just need to keep stabbing away. Brandish again, to draw the monsters in and--]

[ yes. just keep luring them in, let sinclair get some of the deadlier hits in while cyno doesn't accidentally send them in the wrong direction.

shouldn't take too long. right?



even if there are more than they started with, they're just fish after all! ]

It's weird, I don't feel tired at all.

Can you imagine if we had a stamina mechanic?

[No thank you! Sinclair swings his spear, focusing on cleaning up]

but yeah. the room is cleared out again. sadly, there doesn't seem to be any treasure--- but isn't the real treasure the bonding they've had on the way to the end??? ]

And that's okay because this means +1 friend for Cyno and Sinclair. Isn't that grand]
