[ Thanks to Haru and Sinclair, food and drinks have been prepared for the guild. They're small enough to where they'll all have enough to consume, at least, but Noé himself doesn't seem too hungry. He seems thoughtful about something.

And that something will come to light, when there's a moment where everyone's gathered. ]

I don't mean to dampen the mood...but I just wanted to see how we're all doing. If there's anything we should discuss on how to move forward as a guild, now would be a good time. And keep it civil, please.

[ As tempted as he was to throw hands at the meeting, he held back. He can do so now, with his fellow Operatives. ]

[ Sinclair looks tired. Of course he's tired. He had been called up to the spires of the no name town by Hani and


Where does he begin?]

...we should discuss what happened at the meeting. Summarise what we know to be true and what is speculation.

[rebelles]

[ Haru's gaze lingers briefly on Sinclair, worried, but she takes his suggestion and addresses the group. ]

There's a lot that's still uncertain, but what we know is that monsters with shields have started appearing, and they can't be hurt except by those of us with the Data Drain ability. I don't know whether anyone here can use it... [ She looks around curiously, but it's not a question. She'll let people share what they feel comfortable. ] Without it, we must avoid engaging these monsters.

[ And the hot button topic— how does she broach this. ]

It seems Zelkova and someone calling himself Lily have been entrusting players with the power.

[insinning]

That's right. I'm not exactly sure why they selected the people they did, but...

[Sinclair is quiet for a moment before he speaks]

...I...heard Lily's real name from Hani. It's "Cubia." Has anyone heard it before?

No. I hadn't gotten the chance to speak to Lily.

[ It's very scary, how much these two have divided their group... ]

No, just through the voices that were speaking to us inn our head.

[Sinclair is relieved to admit this:]

He didn't seem to like me at all, so I think he left me alone. But if he did anything to me, I think people would have noticed by now.

I heard him, too. He seems to believe it's better for us stay in Fragment.

[ Thread results pending if I have to retcon that's a problem for tomorrow me. ]

He also told me it's possible for us to reshape this world.

That's... Well, that lines up with what a lot of others have been saying.

[ He shakes his head. ]

But he's keeping us from making our own choices by keeping us in here. CCCorp is, too. I wouldn't trade my life outside of the game for anything.

question to all re: the guild's mission

[rebelles]

There's something I'd like to discuss with everyone. When we began the guild, we wanted to help players and make the game a better place.

[ It's not just a game anymore. The stakes are much higher, the risks real. Players can't agree on the best way forward. ]

I know things have changed, but I want to preserve the spirit of our guild. We should still lend a hand to those in need and look for a way for everyone to go home. What do you think?

[murrmoire]

Of course we should. I know a lot of people have lost sight of what's important, but we have to do what we can to get everyone out of here.

[ He's seen the arguing. He's seen the finger pointing and disagreements. They're everywhere, right now. ]

I'm not giving up on the mission.

[rebelles]

I'm glad to hear it. I think our mission is more important now than ever.

[ His determination fills her with determination! ]

[murrmoire]

It is. We'll keep hope alive, even if some people have already lost it.

[ Whether by choice or not. Stares at Mithrun and Misteaks.... ]

That's the spirit. We have to keep going, especially for those who are lost.

[Ah. Sinclair smiles, a glimmer of sunshine beneath his cloudy expression. That's right. That's what this guild was for. He smiles at them both]

I agree with Memoir. Ultimately, our goal is still to help people get out, safely.

[ She returns his smile and nods. ]

Let's put our minds together. There must be a way out.

...Swallow was the first person to ever experience the log out error. But I don't think she was aware of what happened until it was too late. The question is - who actually locked us into this game?

Both Cubia and CC Corp have reason to want us here. The company's silence makes me think that they're using us for their research.

[ Is that Cubia, the face of their woes?? ]

Vogel, how did you know what he looks like?

Hien tried to show me...but then he started to get a headache and his drawing disappeared. I tried to recreate it by describing it to--someone. But this was as close as we got.

Cubia must be hiding. When he spoke to me, I could only ever hear his voice.

[ That child has concerning levels of power if he's able to hack Admin Hien, but leaving the subject of Cubia alone for now because there's no easy solution, she writes on a post-it note ΔHidden Forbidden Battlefield. ]

We haven't discussed the special areas. I'm not sure what secrets they hold or if it'll help us, but maybe it's worth investigating?

I wouldn't have it any other way.

[ People might be arguing, but ultimately that's how people are. ]

We just have to be more careful.

It was Arsène's doing more than anything. If he were here now, he would have wanted us to keep going. So I want to do my best to lead everyone forward.

All things considered... I'm glad he's not here with us.

[ This might sound harsh, but one less person not trapped in this god forsaken game is a good thing. ]

I'm relieved he was spared.
