I ... I'm not really sure, actually. I do see a lot of pride from the UK's servicemen, even though I haven't ever known anyone in the army. Not even family. Maybe it's different overseas.

If I were to warrant a guess, though, I'd imagine it's really tough. And that you have to be a special kind of person to be in the army. Brave, strong, dedicated ... that sort of thing. I wouldn't last a day, I don't think.

... No? Who could possibly excel in life if they only honed in on their weaknesses? It would erode the spirit and encourage unwanted or unproductive thought patterns. Reflecting on one's weaknesses promotes maturity and growth, avoiding any conceited pitfalls, but dwelling would never help. Instead, it should motivate you to apply more effective methods in your life to propel you in the right direction.
