The everpresent afternoon sunset hangs, echoing picturesque across the glass windows apparent at each spot within the large building. In a large room full of tables and what not are heaps of various cuisine settled here or there. Seafood, pastas, drinks, the like; Mediterranean style so if nobody likes that...gomen.

Ganymede has made it clear that he prefers people to be here in order to get themselves together. Sorted, somehow. They're all acting with a sort of independence he seems disinterested in disturbing, but he wants the prospect of potential solutions to be floated along.

If someone has new information they can share, well, it is encouraged. If not, he hopes that they will at least participate in some way.

It now begins.

[ Damn. His boyfriend is so cool. Oria got mad for a second, but figured Sinclair can handle himself, and boy, did he. ]

[ Disappear... Michel's eyes seek out Hani and then Ganymede, thoughtful. What had Hani said back then? That the terrible things and wonderful things both slipped away, impermanent? ]

They've changed. [ Maybe all of them have. ] I'm sure... they're pleased with their choice.

[ It's not even as if he can look at the code directly... But the point holds. ]

Mm. They told me that they want to be "Hani" and hold tight onto all the memories that make "Hani" them.

[ But, then...he frowns a little and then:]

...Michel, do you feel like you've forgotten something about yourself that's important?

[He looks much better before his nose broke, rip.]

I should be telling you that. I'm so glad you're actually still here.

You have the power, too?

You still remember talking, though?

[His braincell is working so hard to understand here, Nanashi, he is sorry.]

I wonder what that means to them.

[ They had always said they would talk more about it, and yet. They'd never quite had a moment. Hani is like a butterfly, never settling for quite long enough for Michel to do more than see the sunlight glimmering off their wings.

His hand on Orion stills at the next question and he glances over. ]

I'm not... quite certain. "Lily" offered to take away my painful memories, but I refused. I can remember the memory you saw clearly enough.

[ He keeps probing at it, like picking at a half-healed scab. Ever since hearing the new healer mention what had been done to his memories. ]

Do you?

[insinning]

...I think I have. But I don't know. [ He frowns, looking at his hands ]

I wonder if Lily would have offered me the same thing if I didn't make him angry. But my new level 75 armor...I get the sense it's based off someone really important. But I don't know who it is.

[userunfriendly]

[ Polite little Sinclair? Making him angry? For the first time that night, a tiny bit of humor touches Michel's expression... although it doesn't stay, given the topic. He checks the equipment description briskly. ]

"Voyager of the Stars." It sounds like it should be a person. Or a hero from a book.

[ But Sinclair not remembering is... ]

Someone like that would have been someone I admired once in my past. Someone I would "want to be". But I never had anything like that.

[...

No. That's wrong. He shakes his head]

Did you notice? Our armor all represents a "memory".

I believe that's a natural response.

[ Sometimes, there is no other thing to say.

There is a longer pause, before he thinks to add: ]

...It will be up to our own selves if we wish to see none of those possibilities come to fruition, however.

I firmly believe if it originates from a dungeon, it would be a non-standard one. Though, considering the possibilities, and likelihood of this effect being more widespread depending on if he and his associations also frequent non-standard dungeons, I believe hypothetically that the origin is unlikely to be from a specific dungeon per say.

Though, I have nothing to concretely back up such a supposition. I imagine there are also 'areas' that would not be classified to consider as 'dungeons' at all to consider as well, with that in mind. Which we may or may not know of as of yet. I would focus a higher likelihood upon those 'areas', and NPC interactions in particular.

[ Still not anything so concrete to make his comment seem more comforting, but sometimes you work with what you have—digging will in time reveal those answers. Marking off possibilities for potential investigation only makes looking into the subject far easier, whether or not the hypotheticals are correct or not.

Such is the nature of research, which at the heart of it all connects to one singular, but important rule:

The ability to persist in the search of answers, even if it pisses people off. ]

[ Not naturally. But there's many more forces than the natural at play here. Michel makes a quiet noise of understanding. ]

...It took me some time because of how abstract they were. But yes. The first set... must have been the one you saw.

[ Blood on his teeth, on his tongue, the taste iron and bitter and laced with pain and hatred. How had he not realized? ]

...I didn't see anything happy in my mirrors. But I'm sure, my first set represented my memory of my family. Us, spending time together. Being happy. I felt warm and safe...it was before everything went wrong [Soft, uncertain] Michel, I need you to remember that for me.

[If he forgets that, then what will become of him?] My second one must be what you saw in the mirror. [Disgust, hatred rising up with him] I hated that whistle so much.

[insinning]

...Uta said that they were all invited to Dismal Waning Descent. She said she didn't know what would happen if you tried to get in without permission. If it's a dungeon effect, maybe it could induce a sort of...feeling of protection for Lily...

[The main sources of the conflicts are long gone now. He can talk freely]

Or it is Lily itself that can induce that feeling.

[ Careful how you answer Michel or he will pinch you on the bum in front of God and everyone. ]

...I think that's the lucky part.

[ THAT HE DIDN'T ENCOUNTER THE MONSTERS... ]

People have told you about the consequences of overuse too, right? That we have to moderate it, because if we don't, we'll basically get sick and die.

[ganymed]

[ Only Ganymede sees the same future of them all getting out of here together, so he has no idea Michel is making such a distinction, aha. ]

I'd hope so.

[ Ganymede doesn't say so with certainty. He's feeling a bit too cynical. ]

...That part is definitely true, though. Now that people know more, I think we might be able to all act better on it. Or some of us will.

We can use the equipment we find from running dungeons to level it up!

Yeah. I still remember all the times we talked, and it's not like there's chunks missing. It's like we remember the same event, but the conversation was totally different.
