MAC ANU ~ GANYMEDE'S MCMANSION



The everpresent afternoon sunset hangs, echoing picturesque across the glass windows apparent at each spot within the large building. In a large room full of tables and what not are heaps of various cuisine settled here or there. Seafood, pastas, drinks, the like; Mediterranean style so if nobody likes that...gomen.

Ganymede has made it clear that he prefers people to be here in order to get themselves together. Sorted, somehow. They're all acting with a sort of independence he seems disinterested in disturbing, but he wants the prospect of potential solutions to be floated along.

If someone has new information they can share, well, it is encouraged. If not, he hopes that they will at least participate in some way.

It now begins.

[ It's his nephew, Barrett!!

Hector nods at him once he's done sipping his wine and offers a grin. ]

Hey. You're looking good.

[ As in, alive. ]

[gluttoning]

[He looks much better before his nose broke, rip.]

I should be telling you that. I'm so glad you're actually still here.

You have the power, too?

[secondthoughts]

[ Aww look at him... The pre-nosening. ]

I do.

[ Hector lifts a hand, presumably the one around which the bracelet would appear, but drops it again. No unnecessary display of power. ]

And it looks like I don't have to wait to test it out. What about you?

[gluttoning]

[In contrast, Barrett lifts his own hand, activating the bracelet long enough to show he has it as well, but deactivating before it goes off.

He's used this before.]

Don't overdo it. I was told it will corrupt your data if you use it too often.

[secondthoughts]

[ Ooh, for some reason, Hector doesn't like that Barrett has this power.

Especially with the news he gives him next. ]

You better not be overdoing it. [ nag nag nag ] I don't want to see your data corrupted.

[gluttoning]

Don't worry. I don't want that either.

[A gentle pause, looking at the food table of all things.]

I have seen what it looks like if you use it more than once on an enemy, though.

[secondthoughts]

Oh yeah? [ He swirls his wine glass. ] And what's that?

[gluttoning]

It turned into grunty food. One of the pineapples. I didn't even have to fight it.

[Mmm. Pineapple..............


Ah, don't mind him wiping at his mouth with his wrist.]

I was told I probably shouldn't do that again, though. So I won't.

[secondthoughts]

[ Little eyebrow raise as he brings his glass to his lips. ]

But you incapacitated the monster. So why not?

[gluttoning]

Like I said, it's dangerous to us if we use it too much. Even if it makes fights easier.

[Okay he can't help it, he's swiping another plate of pasta.]

I still want to be here for you and Levi and Mithrun and everybody else at the end of the day.

[secondthoughts]

[ That's fair. But is he going to follow this advice? To be seen.

He takes a sip and steps forward, patting a hand on Barrett's massive arm. ]

But don't push yourself too hard. Remember, you've got everyone else looking out for you, too.

[gluttoning]

Yeah, I know. We need to do this together.

[An easy smile, a firm and understanding nod.]
