Deto... oh. I remember him from the fight. [Macha ate him........ he nods nonetheless.] You both came into the project pretty late. Right before everything started getting really bad.

...I don't know if it means a lot. I didn't know either of you very well. But... if you have any questions about how things were outside, you can ask. I'll try to tell you what I remember, if it helps you guys have hope.

I was a shut-in before we got stuck in the game, so... anything you tell me will probably be new?

Yeah, of course. Though... I'm not sure where to start.

Maybe... the fact that I have a brother who is a lot like you. I think it must be lonely, if you feel like being shut away is the best option. But I've learned a lot from Fragment about how different it must feel. It's not always easy.

The world - the real world? I think there's a lot of big and small things that make it... complicated. More than I think Fragment will ever be.

It was almost October when we were last outside, you know? So parts of the world are probably colder now... some I guess might be feeling hot, if you're in the south. There's people being born, and people dying. People getting up every day to work and go to school. They have good food and be with the people they really like. They do a lot of good things, and a lot of bad things. They feel a lot of feelings, and sometimes they grow from it. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they have to just... make some mistakes.

I think, no matter what Cubia tries... I wonder if his World will always feel a little less real than the world. Because the world can't really be perfect. And that's what makes it worth something.

Yeah. Even little things.

People get scars because they survived something that hurt. They have bad feelings because their hearts are trying to tell them something.

Damian always told me that rivers and canyons and mountains and islands - they don't happen overnight. They had to carve their way. They happen because even the world is never perfect. Sometimes it takes things and destroys them and makes new things. And even the new things won't be perfect. But they'll still be there. People still call them beautiful.

I don't think anybody really wants anything perfect. Maybe we'd get bored of it. I'm not really sure. But... I know people being different is what makes me like them all for what they are. Even if we don't get along. It means they're alive.

[He falls silent at that. Not displeased, but rather, not comprehending.]

Dunno. I'm not really smart enough to say something like that for sure, even with all my memories.

[He gives a shrug, settling in a little deeper into the couch as he puts his empty bowl aside.]

It feels true enough to me, though. I know I couldn't enjoy so much good food if I didn't also know what bad food tasted like. So I think, if all I ever had was perfect food... I don't think it would make me happy anymore.

So I'd rather have life, with its imperfections, and feel happy with what comes.

Oh. Yeah, sure. You can just put it in the sink. [Handing it out to him.] It might just disappear on its own, but I like to wash them anyway.

I've just been eating at the shops, so I haven't tried the kitchen here.

Mm. A lot sounds good right now. [my dude my man you JUST ate] Water, probably. Levi will kill me if I dont take care of myself.

When I'm feeling a little better, I can show you some of the recipes I was able to make. The shop food is really good. But I think it's nicer to be able to make personal touches to things.

Heh. Well, that's still food, but anything counts. [No judgment here, man, he eats everything.]

What kind is your favorite?

Hmm... Maybe just cheese?

Pretty classic, you can't go wrong with that. Do you like it crispy? Chewy? Lots or sauce, or only a little bit?

I'd recommend everything at least once. But that probably isn't helpful.

The only way to find out is to try. Maybe we can make a bunch of different kinds and see what you think. The extra pizza won't go to waste around here, heh.
