[Levi's right beside Barrett and Kara, looking like a gloomy noodle in contrast to his sunny brother. Despite recent developments, he's still shy around relative strangers.]

Hi... I'm L3V147H4N. Levi's fine, though.

[At least Barrett's giving a good first impression of him?]

[ Hector greets both Misteaks and Levi with a bright smile and a little wave. ]

Hey. I've heard all about you. [ He hasn't. He just knows one of Misteaks's brothers is also a part of the beta. ] Nice to put a name and a face to the brother.

[ And he reaches over to Kara to give her a hair ruffle. It's his favorite niece!! ]

Hey, Kara.

[ Kara gives Hector a cheeky grin when he ruffles her hair. It's never going to get old. He may also catch a glimpse of her reaching for Levi's hand afterwards. ]

Hi, Hector! Nice to see a bunch of my favorite people in one place!

[As Kara goes for the hand hold, Barrett claps a hand on his shoulder.]

Mn. He's a good guy, Levi. You don't have to be healer the whole time this way, right? [Which is usually how it works when the two of them are together, probably. Rip our local Adept Rogue w/one of the only healing classes.

Though he doesn't have the rest of his special armor equipped, Barrett still has the gilded lily lance on his back, making sure everyone has a second to double check their equipment before nodding towards the gate.]

I'll lead us in if someone can make sure Hector's got coverage.

I hope it's a good combo. I'd like some more crafting supplies.

[To Hector:]

Y-You have? Hopefully Barrett didn't tell you anything embarrassing...

[If Hector didn't know Barrett's IRL name yet, he does now. Oops.

His expression loosens into mild surprise when Hector goes to ruffle Kara's hair. Oh, she knows him too? And she knows him well, from the look and sound of things. It makes him feel a weird to be the only one who doesn't know Hector, but he tries to remind himself that Hector is in the exact same position but reversed. Either way, that's part of why they're here in the first place.

He feels Kara's hand in his and turns to smile lightly at her while he takes hold of it. Then comes the clap on his opposite shoulder and he turns to Barrett with a jolt.]

That's true... I can swap a little more freely, so that's nice. But I can still give buffs as needed.

[Speaking of which, it's on to business.]

If Kara wants to take the front line DPS position first, I can start with Wavemaster to cover Hector in the back.

[ Luckily, Hector has already learned Misteaks's real name, so he doesn't blink when Levi mentions his real name. He just gives a little wink—maybe he has! Maybe he hasn't. It'll be a mystery.

While they start moving into party comp strategy, one particular thing catches Hector's eye. He sees that handholding, and he's very quick to quirk a brow and literally point at it. ]

Hold on. [ Interrupting this conversation! He looks back and forth between Kara and Levi. ] Are you guys dating?

Sure, I'm used to frontlining! I've got your backs.

[ That's what Tribal Grapplers do, after all. She moves to reluctantly let Levi's hand go so she can move into position, but when Hector asks his question, Kara pauses and gives him a bright grin. ]

Yeah, we are! [ Look how happy she is! ] Sorry I didn't get to tell you. Um, Levi seriously makes me happy, so please be nice!

[Barrett looks back at Kara and Levi, then at Hector, giving a very brief nod.]

Yep. They were cute last weekend.

[He doesn't expand on that, instead just walking through the gate now that everyone's accounted for. Come on, lovebirds and also grandpa.]

[ Last weekend??? They met up last weekend? Hector's head whips from Misteaks to Levi to Kara, then back to Levi.

Huh. Well. If she says so...

Hector takes a step towards Levi and claps a hand to his shoulder, no matter how tall he may be, no matter how far up he has to reach. He does it. ]

I'm happy for you. Really, I am. [ He grins at Kara briefly before turning his attention back to Levi. ]

But knock her up, and you're paying child support. Mmkay? [ Pats him on the shoulder with a little smile. ] Don't forget that. Use a condom.

[ Now that that's settled.

He whirls on his heel and follows Misteaks through the portal! Woohoo, Area time! ]

HECTOR!!!!

[ SHRIEKS.

This is just going to be her face for the next five minutes in this dungeon. Enemies? She'll fight while she's in misery don't worry about it. ]

[The moment Hector asks if they're dating, a sudden chill runs down Levi's spine. Why does he feel Fear all of the sudden? Then Hector approaches and he very nearly backs up a step. He doesn't get the chance to, though, and Hector's arm is thrust upon him, making him flinch.

He just kind of blanks out as Hector lays into him, simultaneously committing every word to memory and feeling his soul begin to leave his body.]

O-O-Okay, Hector, sir.

[He mechanically replies, absolutely petrified at this point. And when Hector turns to leave, he's just frozen in place until Kara drags him into the portal.

The vibes are gonna be so weird now.]

[Congrats on the hot boiling lava, everyone.

Misteaks' brows raise slightly at how petrified both Levi and Kara look when he turns around to make sure everyone's behind him. A questioning glance is cast to Hector.]

...Did I miss something, guys?

[Cool, maybe it can hide how red from embarrassment he is right now.]

Nope. You missed nothing.

[He lies, like a liar. But he is absolutely not going to reiterate Hector's lecture.]

Let's get this show on the road already.

[So he can stop thinking about this.]

[ Oh, embarrassing kids is fun. ]

Nah, you're good, Misteaks. [ Hector comes up beside the big ginger on the other side, patting him on the back to encourage him forward. Aren't you the tank? Take the lead. ] You're not gonna be an uncle yet, don't worry.

[ And not elaborating :)!

He glances over his shoulder to wait for Kara. She coming? ]

[ Yes, yes...she's coming...hobbling along, still very much embarrassed. Hector you are so dead after this (no).

Kara will follow behind Misteaks, saying nothing.

Why are you like this. ]

Barrett looks back at Levi slowly, carefully, thinking very hard about the things that have led to this point and what a wise person might say

and then gives his older brother a thumbs up.]

Good job.

Lucas won't kill you now.

[Hooray! :)

Anyway.

He points off towards the distance with the line of his spear, off through the heated fog and smoke to a mass of grey and brown nestled into the volcanic rock.]

Castle dungeon. Fire enemies, probably. I know Levi's water. Are either of you?

[Said as he premptively triggers Brandish. Time to be the walking target.]

[Levi makes the sound of a human keysmash yet again, glaring at both Hector and then his own brother.]

BARRETT!!! It was never gonna be an issue!!

[Lord help him how is he even going to be able to concentrate through this whole thing...

He briefly swaps to Macabre Dancer so he can grumble out a La Corv in advance of the fight. Attack buffs for all!]

[ One of Hector's least favorite things is the heat, and he really thought he was done with it after that bug a few weeks ago was fixed.

Ugh.

He's glad to have Levi in the back with him though. Hector gently pats him on the back while he gets the buffs sorted. ]

I'm earth. Not sure if that helps but we'll probably be fine. Just don't die and we'll be fine.

[ remember a simpler time when "die" wasn't a serious verb ]

[ WHAT LEVI SAID!!!!

Kara's still losing her mind, but Kara cracks her knuckles and stares blankly ahead of Barrett. There's some movement up ahead.
