Hello up there! Nice to meet you! I hope you're ready for a fight because - GiVak Don! [ their spell echoes through the fleshy cavern as flames rapidly spread toward the humanoid enemies. something something tanks are supposed to pull first, but whatever, this is more fun! ]

If kicking were just "spanking with your foot", it would be called spanking, not kicking.

[ Fandaniel can only pray that puts an end to it. Since Hani doesn't ask anything else BDSM or spanking related immediately, well, it's likely time to move on with their spankless lives. He lets go of Tylor once they're in the next room and gives him a shove forward.

Then he whirls towards another pack of Cannibals that have been drawn in by Hani's display of DPS trying to tank. He switches to BiJuk Rom now that there's more space around them, the area attack whirling up with a blast of wind and leaves to cut the enemies up. ]

[ And Oriade continues to be in the back, offering damage so that the AoE spells will definitely kill the enemies. Definitely moving on from the spanking subject-- ]

With a full party of capped players, the dungeons are really a joke, huh?

pretend i remembered the "while" in "while still beside Hani"* :o)

[ Tylor is dragged easily without resisting much more than his disrupted balance demands. He takes forced steps shoved forward and keeps going, but he does toss back a -- ]

they let out a laugh and throw a bottle of whiskey this time and a bit of chocolate. givak don follows swiftly. hmm! what's this drink called again - ]

[ somehow they crit again?! wow, cool. if the enemies aren't dead after this, they're sure oriade or fandaniel can finish them off. ]

...throwing alcohol in a dungeon is shockingly effective. They really do need to add something more difficult.

[ That isn't even a real spell and yet! Fandaniel does move to pick off the stragglers but, overall, they appear to have wrapped up this final room quickly. As Oriade said, dungeons go quickly now that they've all hit the level cap.

Each spell brings a fresh peal of screaming from his tome, though, and he grits his teeth through them while cleaning up the mobs left behind. ]

Just. A few more. And then this is over.

They really added a lot of... weird details in this game.

[ He gets that alcohol is flammable, but it was free food? But then he looks over at Fandaniel. ]

You can leave the rest to us. You're still recovering SP, aren't you?

[ This fight is over with quickly, which is good because Tylor isn't getting any rewards out of it besides friendship. There's a lull from him as the wave of mobs finally cease, just enough for Tylor to catch his breath by heaving a big exhale.

The, spinning back to face everyone with a smile-- ]

You know, we're really good at this!

[ back to gauntlets so he doesn't have to carry anything -- ] Aren't all the details in this game pretty amazing?

[ not as effective as a katamari full of players, but when you gotta make do! alcohol solves a lot of problems. ]

Of course we're good at this. We have a balanced party.

[ Ugh. Those two are so upbeat about a somewhat normal party composition. A tank, a class with a heal, two pure damage dealers. What they should be is upset and sad and depressed but that's a different dungeon curse lol like he is! Only he hasn't really given them a reason to be, has he?

He actually makes a point to pull his hood down and finally dispel the opaque effect it had when worn, as it's been shrouding his face in deep shadow this entire time. He does this so his baleful glower sent Tylor and Hani's way is very much clear.

He's also sure they'll ignore it! But it's the effort that counts, right? ]

I am fine and so is my SP. [ It's not. It's low again. Shocker. Though it does look as if they've mopped up what was left in here, meaning Fandaniel turns his glowering away from his party and gazes around the room instead. ] Does anyone see the treasure chest in here?

[ Oriade can clearly see the low SP, but he won't dig further into it. He also sees this as a normal party composition as an experienced gamer, so he won't comment on that either. Perhaps he's jaded from what virtual reality brings that the happy two are excited about, so he just won't say anything. He doesn't need to put a damper on the mood.

But at the mention of treasure chests, he looks around from where he stands. ]

I don't see any treasure chests. It looks like if we see one of those weird animals, there won't be one.

[ And he looks relieved. Fucking treasure chests. They have deceived him for the last time. ]

Look like the dungeon might as well be over, so let's go.

Well, your shoulder is so lovely how could I say no? We're so lucky their generosity is allowing us to feel all of this.

[ Tylor leans over to rest his head wherever Hani lets him, without actually putting all that much weight down. It's probably a funny sight with their height difference by the time Fan looks over to make faces at them. That glower is met with a friendly smile from Tylor, along with cheery sincerity-- ]

Glad you agree, Mr. FD! [ Because it has better sentence rhythm than than Fanny or Spankmaster. ]

[ And with more curiosity tossed to Oriade-- ] Oh really? is that how it always works? I hadn't noticed.

sadness, depression, annoyance, anger - those are tricky emotions for hani to feel. in theory, they understand what those emotions entail. and while they're sure there's value in them, they do wonder if it isn't exhausting to be Like That all the time. of course, humans don't have on-off switches, but... has fandaniel tried hani's tried and true method of only vaguely feeling things? it works, guaranteed.

well! they can only hope fandaniel will be able to get some beauty rest after this run. ]

Aw, we're almost done? So fast! [ is this what a speedrun is like? but they still have four bottles of whiskey and three cocktails left??? ]

[ Makes sense. Creature encounter or chest, it seems to be one or the other. Fandaniel only gives a sigh over how the rest are acting and after another step, he does get the item reward pop-up. Thank god, except for the one glaring dilemma of— ]

...the stats of this are terrible compared to the set's tome. [ If anything can get him to heave a second sigh right on the tail end of the first, it's that, but he equips the new weapon regardless. ] I suppose there's naught to do for it. I do need to test it, though. I need to make sure this one doesn't scream as well.

[ A quick glance is shot back at the rest of the party. He'll settle on Tylor. ]

Tylorific? Could you be a doll and drop party for a moment?

[ It makes sense for Fandaniel needing a target, but Oriade is also aware that Shadow Warlocks have AoE spells, so he will be standing faaaaar from Tylor and a bit behind Fandaniel. His defenses are puny. Sorry, but not sorry. At least Tylor was fully healed by Hani, so he doesn't feel like he has to worry much. ]

[ Annnnd he drops party with a smile! Taking a few steps from Hani, he at least equips his spear to casually lean his weight on before playfully asking --- ]

[ But the stats on his Lord Partizan special set as it shifts to look bulkier are... really good. The horror show book might've hurt, but good luck puny tome. ]

[ wow, only justy? no fair. but hani shrugs, pats justy's back and moves away to give the two of them space. as they do, they open their in-game browser and type in a couple of words.

then through their mic, a song plays. it's not a battle theme, but it's remixed like one, so they thought it was fitting. ]

Alright, we're ready. Go!

[ Oh god, so it'll be to remixed techno j-pop that Fandaniel dramatically flips his new tome open in on hand and directs it Tylor's way. ]

Unfortunately for you, I only know how to be rough.

[ Look, even in this miserable state, he can't let something that cheesy pass him by without saying it. That said, the tome may not be comparable to the weapon from the set, but it is still one for a Level 25 Shadow Warlock. ]

[ Oriade was wise to back off. He did go for the area spell and a wind whips up sharp leaves to cut at Tylor! Best of all? No screaming this time. He's free. ]

[ This is so weird. If anywhere, he did not expect to hear this song in the middle of Fandaniel trying to test out his weapon against Tylor.............. ]

Damn, he's getting unleashed now.

[ The leaves whip up harshly enough to the beat of techno that Tylor shuts his eyes against the assault, shielding his face as foliage slices at his armor and bared skin. He takes the hit directly, chunking his health. He coughs as it finally dies down, waving a hand like he's clearing smoke. He is clearly scratched up, new lines of white on his black armor. But he isn't dead. ]

Ow, you weren't kidding. That really hurt! [ Doing nearly half his HP with a single aoe isn't half bad! ]

I'm happy you've learned more than that flimsy fireball, but is your mood any better?

[ He sounds concerned as he takes casual steps toward Fandaniel. ]

then they're stepping toward justy, hand raised for a healing cast except - ]

Ah. I can't. [ no party = no heal. hani lowers their hand, a rueful edge to their smile. ] Well at least, Master looks younger by the second.

[ But he won't. None of them needed to help him and yet, they did, so rather than another PK attempt, Tylor gets an invite back into the party. Ping! Party invite pop-up! After that, the new tome weapon is shut and put away. ]

I suppose this is the part where I say I owe you all one for the help. Just try not to use a favor on something ridiculously stupid, hm? [ And then he's shuffling through screens to find the one that leaves the dungeon, only to pause before actually ditching them. ] By the way...

Has anyone else found something strange with their level cap reward gear?

[ Since Oriade is still behind Fandaniel and the others are a bit far away, he ponders on what to do. Should he just log out? He knows there won't be any rewards for him at the end. That would probably draw more questions.

If any of them are the type to forage through forum posts, they'll see that he was lying and that it's a little worse than how much hes downplaying it here. ]
