[ Arrive at Mac Anu, where the welcome party was held, to find it...empty? A quick look on the forums shows a little edit to Hector's post:

So that's where he is.

In the center of the brightly illuminated nighttime city, Hector's set himself up for his little get together. But since he doesn't have any tables or plates or anything fancy like that, all the alcohol and food he bought from various vendors are just...strewn around the floor. The food is probably still good to eat, though. It's fine. Take what strikes your fancy!

Hector's wearing his outfit again. He lounges on the steps of that funky spinny thing in the center of town, and anyone who gets close enough to hear him will hear music coming from his mic. Give him a break. He's doing his best.

When enough people have gathered, he might actually get up and drag everyone into a drinking game.

So enjoy—eat, drink, mingle, and smack your friends! PvP is enabled here, after all :) ]

I'm not sure yet. It's still under...evaluation? Yes, let's call it that.

I'd suppose I would ask you the same, but you're clearly enjoying yourself, aren't you?

[ It'll probably remain the same unless someone starts a fist-fight mid-party, but thus far Ganymede has seen an absence of that, and hopes that remains as is. ]

So what would improve its score for you?

You must be used to being the life of the party.

[ Looking to the side as he hums a little. ]

I'd say 'singing and dancing', but it's a bit different, when it's more spontaneous around people you don't know.

[ There's a noncommittal shrug to the first point, paired with a smile. The rest though, gets his attention. ]

That's a great answer! I agree. [ Have a cheers. The rest is friendly, but is he used to Tylor enough not to take the offer the wrong way? who knows-- ]

So, does that mean you'd say no if I asked you to dance? I could always put on whatever music you like.

[ Dancing, for him, is something that comes naturally, and it's done often enough at parties. Anyway, it isn't like Justy has given him a reason to not indulge in something he enjoys. He may be a bit cranky at times, but he does take pride in such things as well. ]

Well, I'm fine with most music pieces, as long as it's classical music.

[ Setting aside the drink he's been nursing throughout the game, before positioning himself. ]

Before we start, I assume you know some proper dance moves?

Oh sure, I can put on something classical.

[ Tylor also enjoys dancing. And he's pretty good at the odd collection of moves he knows. It's just not the kind usually paired with classical music. The late 90s-early 2000s and arcade dancing games are coming for him tonight.

There is no formal teaching to be seen here in the way he positions himself before Ganymede, just what he's seen in movies. Tylor looks confident at least, but it wouldn't be hard to steal the lead from him. ]

Well, I guess that depends on what you consider proper.

[ Good thing he isn't putting on music related to those moves. ]

I suppose we could always freeform it. I'm a little more used to traditional dances, but of course when performing, being able to adapt is important as well.

[ Unexpected occurrences can be rife even in coordinated productions. Anyway, he will wait for whenever the other puts on the music, and then he starts doing some movements...moving gracefully with his feet along the town ground, around the other male. He'll be bringing his hands down, and then up, before striking a pose.

We are truly free-styling it, fam. ]

As long as it's something resembling a dance that's fine to see in public, I'm sure it'll be proper enough.

[ Good thing! Sort of! ]

Oh? What kinds of traditional dances?

[ Tylor almost plays some traditional Japanese music through his mic, but pauses to watch Ganymede's graceful movement around him. Oh. ]

Wow, I can already tell you're a good dancer. Actually, I'm sure you counld handle anything I played, even if it was something more modern. [ "modern" ] It's really all about feeling the music anyway, right? Or maybe letting the music feel you.

[ He laughs, but it's friendly and light. ]

Folk dances, ones you'd see at festivals and certain kinds of celebrations back home.

Then, some you might witness in certain productions.

[ Which translates to quite a lot of them. But the steps are usually very coordinated. But freeform ones aren't impossible either. ]

That's about right, though. The music essentially guides your body, and before you know it, you're moving to the beat. Whether it's from song, or the instruments playing all around you.

[ Waiting a tad bit on moving until the other man decides on a solid choice, though! ]

That's really cool! I'll do my best to keep up with you, then.

[ Tylor says it genuinely, a beat before he does whatever happens when someone is doing something in the real world while still logged in. But he's apparently settled on a choice, since some music starts filtering though. It's something like this, though not exactly since this is the 2000s, so it becomes pretty clear early that this is a remix.

Tylor moves to accommodate the initially slower tempo, keeping in time even once it picks up speed. What he lacks in technical skill, he makes up with confidence and a natural willingness to try and compliment Ganymede's moves. ]

[ Ganymede isn't a stranger to eastern music, even if the beat and track here is unfamiliar to him, but it is nice. Easy enough to follow.

Justy keeping up is a mild surprise, because he isn't sure what to expect, but all the same there isn't exactly a sense of inattentiveness on his end. There is refinement that can be certainly improved on, but the determination and confidence goes a long way. ]

It seems you're keeping up decently enough.

[ Even with the pick up in tempo! ]

[ Tylor stumbles a step at the compliment. It's noticeable, but he laughs it off and keeps going anyway. ]

Oh, no, that's because you're such a great dance partner.

[ Of course, he's not paying attention and the music will eventually start to autoplay but he isn't worried about that while he's too busy having a good time. ]

Ever go dancing just for fun? Like a club?

[ Noticeable indeed, especially when Ganymede has to pay close attention to dance movements! But at the comment he decides to address that instead, because he knows he's talented and isn't shy to admit it. ]

I am. Though it isn't always easy for people to keep up with a skillful dancer.

I'm not really much for clubbing. The nightlife isn't for me. Is that your kind of thing?

[ Tylor thinks about it for a beat, as if he hadn't thought about it until now. ]

Well, I don't really know! I think it'd be lots of fun to go again. I'm sure you'd be real popular if you ever wanted to.

[ His responding twirl isn't nearly as graceful, but there is a certain charm to having fun with it, laughing, and flowing back into his own moves anyway. ]

So is dancing your main thing?

Oh, well...yes, but I think I'm good with being not too popular in-game. Maybe somewhere in the middle will suit me just fine.

[ He might know what it's like to be very popular.

Very, very popular. Anyways...at lest the brunet is clearly enjoying himself here! That makes for two of them. ]

It is, actually. What's your main thing?

[ Ganymede hasn't asked the other male much, but it is a start. ]

Then I'll do my best not to sing your praises too loudly.

[ He jokes. It isn't in his nature to talk about others like that outside their presence anyway, no matter how dumb he can come across. ]

[ There's literally no hesitation in giving his answer, as he playfully reaches for Ganymede's hand. Spin and a friendly dip as the music comes to an end? He goes on in the quiet lull. Or is that the faint beginnings of the next song? Tylor acts the same whether Ganymede goes along with the fun or not. ]

And right now, that means playing this game with everyone!

[ The next song is, well... it seems to be autoplaying from this list. It has his in game self blinking once that school bell rings-- ] Oops!

[ but he doesn't actually look embarrassed at all. ]

I definitely don't need anyone yelling them at a party...

[ Ganymede says casually, though he raises a brow when he says it's just 'living life' is that another word for saying he lounges on a couch otherwise?

Or maybe he's a traveler, just like his cousin, that too.

He takes the outstretched hand, and then allows himself to be spun around, followed by the dip as the music ends. Ganymede will situate himself into just a standing position once he's let go, and righted. ]

Oops? You don't look like you're feeling like an 'oops'.

Even if you're there? It's hard not to notice beautiful people when they're right in front of me.

[ Tylor says it all innocently. But as far as the music goes-- ]

Oh, you don't like it? Sorry about that.

[ Tylor asks it, but is clearly distracted as he's trying to change it without going offline. ]

I won't stop people from praising my skill, or whatever they like, but drawing everyone's attention in doing so would be embarrassing.

[ Though, he thinks Justy giving compliments as he does might be as regular to him as breathing air. ]

Well, I'm not entirely against listening to this kind of music. I think even I've heard a track like this at some point.

[ It's not an artist he listens to often for obvious reasons. ]

Oh. I see. I don't think being pretty is anything to be embarrassed about, though. [ He leans in only slightly, it's not a very good whisper-- ] But I'll try my best to say them to you only in private from now on.

[ That probably sounds worse out of context, but Tylor is so obliviously sincere when he says it's hard to tell. His fiddling around in real life ceases and the music keeps going. ]

Really? So I guess you've never danced to this kind of music either?

[ Here's some 90s move, without shame, but it's clear this is more his element as far as dancing goes. He offers up a smile and a hand-- ] It's the same idea, really, the application is just a little different.

I'm not embarrassed about being pretty—[ PAUSE ]—you really are talented at laying it on thick, aren't you? Don't send me ridiculous private messages laden with praise.

[ It does certainly sound worse, enough for Ganymede to say this. Justy's innocent obliviousness also does little favors in this regard. ]

[ Ganymede will happily show him he can dance to the tune just fine, reaching out for the hand, and getting straight to moving. ]

Oh, thank you! [ Said exactly as if Ganymede were actually complimenting him with that. ] But then... is it the attention that bothers you?

[ Tylor goes on, but at least that energy has given way to curiosity.

That said, he's still getting a little fancy here, just to keep the pro here on his toes. If he's able to recognize any of them, he is definitely incorporating song specific moves here and betraying his basic ass music tastes even more damningly. ]

[ Ganymede lets out a soft and derisive Hmph in the face of that. ]

I'm used to attention. Asking to escape that sort of thing is unreasonable—but there's a difference between someone bringing everyone else's unwanted attention towards you, and what will result normally.

[ And he doesn't even bother touching on the nonsense regarding that commentary about private messages. He doesn't mind the occasional comment about his looks—he's used to that. But if someone thought to yell such a thing, he'd be pretty annoyed.

Ganymede takes notice of the upgrade in dance technique, and it's easy still to keep up. ]

In a performance, everyone's attention is all on you. Every performer would do well to be desensitized to that.
