[ Arrive at Mac Anu, where the welcome party was held, to find it...empty? A quick look on the forums shows a little edit to Hector's post:

So that's where he is.

In the center of the brightly illuminated nighttime city, Hector's set himself up for his little get together. But since he doesn't have any tables or plates or anything fancy like that, all the alcohol and food he bought from various vendors are just...strewn around the floor. The food is probably still good to eat, though. It's fine. Take what strikes your fancy!

Hector's wearing his outfit again. He lounges on the steps of that funky spinny thing in the center of town, and anyone who gets close enough to hear him will hear music coming from his mic. Give him a break. He's doing his best.

When enough people have gathered, he might actually get up and drag everyone into a drinking game.

So enjoy—eat, drink, mingle, and smack your friends! PvP is enabled here, after all :) ]

[ Hector watches, intrigued as Leo fiddles with menus, and his brow raises when he sees an icon he never paid much attention to before lights up with a notification. Oh? What's this?

He pulls back more, hand dropping to Leo's shoulder as he uses his own free hand to poke at his menus, listening to him in the while. "All of the pleasures The World has to offer," eh? He glances quickly at Leo; despite how...dense he can be on occasion, that doesn't get past him. He knows exactly what he means.

He's only been here for a week and he's already being propositioned to cyber??? This might be a record. He thinks it kind of weird and funny, but...it'd be a lie to say he isn't curious. ]

It's incredible how realistic this game can be, huh?

[ Slams that accept button! ]

You're gonna have to show me around sometime, then.

[Leo looks genuinely excited upon seeing the guild join notification.]

Of course! Happy to have you among our ranks~

[Even with his proposition in the air, it's more than that in his mind. It feels good to be forging real connections with people this early. After a rough few years... finally being on the up-and-up is heartwarming.

He puts his other hand back around Hector and gives him a tight hug.]

[ Hector opens his mouth to say something, but he genuinely isn't expecting the hug. After a beat, he laughs and wraps his other hand around Leo's neck. This is a nice hug... ]

Glad to be here.

[ He is blissfully unaware of what Leo's going through; he's mildly intrigued by how realistic the kiss felt, and genuinely glad the other isn't being weird about it. But he's also glad to have a positive relationship with someone here. Leo's a good dude.

Hector pulls back and reaches to pat Leo's cheek. ]

You should take a bottle for yourself, too.

[ Referring to the pack of alcohol Leo brought along as a present. Take one!! ]

[Leo flushes a bit upon Hector's touch, but relishes it silently. Finally letting go of the other man, he reaches down and grabs two bottles of beer from the gift package, holding one out for Hector to take.]

Happy birthday, Hector. May your next year be even better than the previous one. [Leo holds his bottle up to clink against.]

[ Oh, the flush is cute. Hector grins as he takes his bottle, and he steps back. ]

Thanks, Leo. [ He raises his bottle, and there's a satisfying little clink. ] It'll be better now that you're here.

[ There's a tease of a smile on his face as he takes a swig, and he reaches to clap a hand on Leo's arm when he's done. ]

Go enjoy the rest of the party.

[The genuine happiness on Leo's face is palpable. Attempting to recall the last time anyone has said something that nice to him has him coming up blank.

He's lost in the bliss of the moment until Hector's hand brings him back to reality.]

Right! Gotta go mingle with more people and whatnot. Plus I see people playing games - I have to see what it feels like to play another game while being inside of a game. [He laughs.]

It's a weird feeling, huh?

[ He's not gonna think too hard about it right now. ]

[Leo gives Hector a little wave and pivots on a hoof before heading into the sea of partygoers.]
