[ Arrive at Mac Anu, where the welcome party was held, to find it...empty? A quick look on the forums shows a little edit to Hector's post:

We're popping Lumina Cloth's cherry! See you there :-)

So that's where he is.

In the center of the brightly illuminated nighttime city, Hector's set himself up for his little get together. But since he doesn't have any tables or plates or anything fancy like that, all the alcohol and food he bought from various vendors are just...strewn around the floor. The food is probably still good to eat, though. It's fine. Take what strikes your fancy!

Hector's wearing his outfit again. He lounges on the steps of that funky spinny thing in the center of town, and anyone who gets close enough to hear him will hear music coming from his mic. Give him a break. He's doing his best.

When enough people have gathered, he might actually get up and drag everyone into a drinking game.

So enjoy—eat, drink, mingle, and smack your friends! PvP is enabled here, after all :) ]

[ Fai is going to make Ganymede lose HP from embarrassment before the end of the party. But out of sheer stubbornness, he just says: ]

Maybe I am!

This is why I called you cute before. Your stubbornness is adorable.

[ Would you believe me if I apologized for him— ]

[ganymed]

[ Press (x) to doubt ad infinitum—anyways, he's sputtering and then giving Fai some side-Looks. ]

You're enjoying this far too much!

Is that a bad thing?

[ He's the picture of perfect innocence!! ]

[ganymed]

[ He is completely un-fooled!! ]

I'll say yes. Absolutely.

[fluorite]

[ He laughs. ]

Should I ease up on you, in that case?

[ganymed]

I won't object to that.

[ A pointed huff, but then he will continue speaking regardless. ]

Besides messing around with me, I'm assuming you're generally enjoying the party, like most people.

[ For a first-time party player-made on the net, it's going decently well by his estimations. ]

It almost sounds like you're excluding yourself from the group enjoying themselves.

[ Did he dodge agreeing with Ganymede's assumption? Yes. ]

[ Ganymede stares at Fai a little, because that sure is a way to answer his question!!

He counters with: ]

You said you assumed I was enjoying the party like most people, but you didn't say "too". I thought you were just grouping most others up into a separate group from yourself.

[ Yes, he's overthinking it. ]

[ganymed]

[ Okay, Ganymede just looks slightly amused. He's the type to overthink as well, but also... ]

I might have been. Would you consider yourself in that group as well, though?

[ ...he circles the initial question in a different manner right back to Fai. ]

[fluorite]

[ Wow! Ganymede is pretty quick on the draw, isn't he? Fai can't help but feel immediately more amused. ]

Maybe~

[ But even so, two can play at this game of vague wording. ]

[ganymed]

[ Round III: Vague Wording's Vengeance...battle, start! ]

Do you know what they say about 'maybe'?

[ In other words, time to keep playing this game, apparently. ]

[ Fai tilts his head, humming. ]

Hmm? What do they say?

[ganymed]

Maybe is just a baby that needs to be rocked back and forth until there is a "yes" spoken.

[ Ganymede says this with a (mostly) straight face. ]

[fluorite]

[ He whistles. ]

That's quite the metaphor! But what if the answer is "no"?

[ganymed]

...Then we'd actually be in the same category.

[ But Ganymede would have never guessed that Fai hasn't started enjoying the party as of yet. He hasn't quite gotten there himself at this current time as it is still early on.

'The night is still young', as some people might say. ]

[fluorite]

Would we?

[ Damn, he's been seen through. But it's fine as long as they don't have to talk about it in length. ]

Would you like to join me for a drink? Maybe we can move to a different category together.

[ganymed]

[ Small elegant raise of a brow for a second there, because yes, that is the case in this instance. It lowers at the request, however. ]

I don't mind. We're going to be drinking at the party anyway.

[ He doesn't mind alcohol and can be a bit of a social drinker. ]

What kind of other topics were you thinking about? How we see the world a bit differently?

[ He tries to think of a good way to get into Ganymede's head with a single question. Hmmm...

In the meantime, Fai leads him over to where a lot of the alcohol is still sitting on the floor. ]

What do you think of games like this, for one? Do you enjoy the social aspect?

[ganymed]

[ Ganymede then begins to pour himself some more alcohol once he is led over, and then sip at it leisurely as he's presented the question. ]

I think so far it's alright, but the experience is already beyond what I imagined it'd be. I'm also actually not one for engaging too much in the social aspect of such things, but it's different with a game.

Like in real life, there are some goals you can't manage by yourself. But here, that's even more obvious. And there are more excuses to talk to people...those who don't know who you are.

[ For the most part! Which is what draws him to explore it. ]

Meeting new people without any of the factors of real life getting in the way is definitely new to me. Do you like that aspect of it?

[ He can't help but wonder if Ganymede has hurdles in real life that make it harder for him to get closer to people. Honestly... Fai gets it. ]

[ganymed]

It's new to me as well. But, I think I do like that aspect.

[ There's a moment of pause, because while his thoughts have been swirling originally towards something towards that effect, he was a bit less certain of it until now. So, he nods. ]

...It's almost like starting over, without having to do so completely.

[fluorite]

It is, isn't it?

[ Fai has felt similarly, even if there are people that he knows here. ]

But even that comes with his own pressure. What if you don't like the first impression you gave?

[ganymed]

...I don't know.

[ He knows he sometimes puts up walls, so he, quite frankly has been doing what he thinks he wants to do. Has he been caring about what others think of him? Well...not yet, maybe. ]

Do you yourself know what to do if you should ever be in a position like that?
