Area Results:

Your party heads off to Starting Past’s Slacker in search of treasure and adventure. You gate in and find yourselves in a murky forest stretching as far as the eye can see. Located within the heart of the field is a forest dungeon lush with treasure and crawling with monsters.

On your adventure, you encounter several strong foes, Goblins, Headhunters and Ectoplasm among them.

After carving a path through your foes, you finally make your way into the dungeon.

There seems to be more treasure in this dungeon than most. Lucky you! You approach the treasure chest and open it up, but you realize something too late: you've sprung a sloth trap! Empty treasure chest? Eh, who cares? You didn't feel like running this damn dungeon anyway. In fact, you feel like curling up and lazing around for the next hour instead.

Well, that was unfortunate. Pray the next dungeon run goes more smoothly. Come back next week!

[ yjh really taking the charge... Oriade stays back and shoots some goblins that were about to die. Definitely kill steals just to tease Punisher, because of course. Not all of them though.

Normally, he'd like to give them blank point shots to the face, but he doesn't want to be smacked by the yaoi oar. No thanks. ]

[ sorry but also not sorry for "betraying" joonghyuk's trust in uta, except also perhaps not because it's not as though she has done anything wrong here. the only thing that she's guilty here is of withholding information. ...not that any of it matters given how joonghyuk is just charging ahead despite the large level gap between him and the monsters.

and while oria is doing a great job picking off the goblins from a (far enough) distance, uta is a bit more close and personal with her skewering as she throws her lance at a headhunter that seems to be lurking in the back. she'll duke it out with the monster while oria and joonghyuk deal with the goblins.

of the three of them, she's the tankiest one, right? only makes sense. ]

Trust you to go up against monsters that are far stronger than you.

[ casually finishes off the headhunter like it's the coolest thing to do. ]

This is so much different doing this with a party.

I'm not here to have you carry me through this run.

[ It's hard that all he can do is abuse the only skill he has to disarm the opponents and when he eventually runs out of skill points, Joonghyuk can only do physical attack combos. They're a bit too slow for his liking due to his low level, but that's going to change soon. For now he must suffer :) ]

Besides, solo runs are better.

[ Leave it to Joonghyuk to say it while he's doing a dungeon run with a party, what a nice guy! What he means is that it's probably better for the streams rather than just teaming up with some randos who can do unexpected things, but there's no way he's saying that. ]

I don't wanna hear that from someone who takes forever to kill a goblin right now.

[ He shoots an Ectoplasm with a Thorn Shot, critting and killing. Whew. He still makes sure to whittle down a lot of HP for the other mobs. DPS is a great form a crowd control. ]

I see the dungeon up ahead! Just one more wave to go!

[ Yjh used lvl 1 glare at Oria because HE CAN. ]

[ why is this happening right front of her salad?? the glaring and the comment from oria... it's fine though. she'll just cheerfully keep on going and not add to the hostility. hopefully. ideally. she'll let yjh have the illusion of helping finish off a monster or two so that it isn't as awkward for him. (or bad for his ego.) ]

Solo runs are pretty exciting. [ she says as she casually takes out another goblin that has charged at them. ] It's a nice way to test out how strong your class really is.

[ outside of pvp, of course, but that'll be for another time. hopefully the three of them can have a bit if pvp fun and see who is the winner of all of that. ]

But clearing dungeons are much faster with friends. See? I feel like we're getting close to the end.

[ a slight emphasis on friends as she looks between oria and yjh. please. that said, she'll be the first one to charge into the dungeon's next area where she gets caught out by a group of ectoplasms with another group of headhunters close by.

[ Oriade promptly ignores the glare, because you don't scare him!! If anything, he was about to retort with something else, but then he sees Uta charge in. ]

Uta!

[ Good thing he's long range, so he shoots down several monsters that are trying to get at her.

Friends? Well, he'll think about it. ]

[ Did Uta just Leeroy Jenkins Oria and him into friendship? Whether that was the intention or not, Joonghyuk yells almost in unison with Oria. ]

Uta!

[ Yoo Joonghyuk will now deplete his skill points to zero for you, Uta. It takes him a while to catch up with her, but when he does, he puts all of his lvl 1 strength into slaying these ectoplasms and headhunters. Not that it's super effective, but he should at least get a gold star for trying... maybe. ]

Oriade, stay focused!

[ her intention was not to leeroy jenkins herself into a situation in order to force the two of them to be friends. that was the dice, however, if that ends up being the end result then here we go.

the support oriade supplies is def helpful; it's just a shame that the same could not be said about yjh but that's okay. he gets the gold star from trying. uta's not going to be someone to lie down and take it and she'll do a good job in taking down some of the mob now that there's help.

she just unfortunately will take a good amount of damage for it because the dice also hate me. hooray!! ]

[ The moment when your tankiest member takes a lot of damage is when Oriade knows that their situation is pretty bad. He loads his skills into a queue while using normal attacks in between cooldowns to retain an efficient use of SP. There are so many shots going to cover Uta and Joonhyuk with a focus on stronger enemies since he figures the two can handle those better... well, difficult for yjh since he's level 1, but if anything, he's a good meatshield. ]

I'm almost out of SP!

[ Gotta make this quick. ]

[ The least he can do is disarming the enemy monsters with his skill, but not only he runs of SP pretty fast, the effect just doesn't work because dice hate me too. It's a tough pill to swallow, but with level 1, he is nothing but a meatshield. The least he can do is to send all of his SP potions to Oriade and HP potions to Uta which isn't much, but they're better suited for this than he is at the moment. ]

Fuck...

[ Just normal attacking and dodging, but his HP is diminishing. ]

[ because finally the dice gods have not forsaken me entirely, given the efforts from the other two and how she isn't entirely out of sp herself (mainly because she's been smacked around than able to use her abilities) she'll disengage from the mob as she uses yjh and oriade as pseudo meat shields and distractions to get behind the monsters.

where she'll go about taking out/finishing off any of the enemies with the lowest hps leaving whatever is left to be dispatched at a less panicked pace. sometimes the dice hate you and other times the dice love you.

[ Oriade doesn't wait a second to replenish his SP and as soon as he does, he pulls yjh by the back of his collar and shoves him backwards so that he can rest in the back with Uta like a good level 1.

Steam gunners have terrible defenses, but defense doesn't matter if monsters can't hit you anyway, and Oriade takes care of the rest that Uta doesn't get. ]

Finally... Done.

[ Trigger finger hurts from all that attack and skill spam. He sighs a big one out of relief. ]

[ Rolling a 20 is a sign from the RPG gods that Joonghyuk should just stay in the back, so he does and doesn't even get hurt when Oria shoves him. ]

Shouldn't there be a level scaling or something...

[ Now that they're safe (citation needed), he can complain. ]

Are you two okay?

[ there really should be level scaling, but even the average of their levels would leave yjh a little bit out of sorts. just...less dramatically so. either way gives an affirmative noise to his remark. ]

Yep! I'm fine; just a little tired.

[ cue uta giving them both a thumbs up before letting out a huge sigh of relief now that all of the monsters have been defeated. not too long after her legs give out underneath her and she falls to the ground. ]

[ Oria isn't about to play down what he did, but he won't brag about it either. ].

You guys can rest there for a bit. I'll go get the treasure for us, if there is one!

[ And he runs off... he'll be back when it's my turn to tag again. ]

[ Joonghyuk lies here on the ground like a good lvl 1 he is. When Oria announces that he's going to get the treasure, he raises his hand to show his thumb up of approval, even if there's a chance that he might not notice it in the first place.

Taking advantage of the fact that Oria isn't here, he crawls closer to Uta and mumbles. ]

I didn't know you'd invite someone else.

[ she'll wave oriae off to go get the treasure as she keeps relaxing on the ground. it feels kind of embarrassing to be taken out like this but bad rolls did this to her. that said, she'll smile brightly and tries not to laugh at yjh as he crawls to her. ]

Why wouldn't I invite anyone else? It's more fun to play with other people.

[ she'll hum a little tune (stop at 1:56) before adding on just before oria returns. ]

I also thought it would be nice if you and Oriae became friends.

[ Oriade finally comes back, looking lethargic and... not wanting to do anything. He just gracelessly flops next to them on the ground.

He sure triggered the sloth trap, but not knowing what it was, believing it was empty. ]

There was nothing in the treasure chest.

[ He yawns. ]

I wanna take a nap.

[ It's difficult to find an answer to the question, so he remains quiet, especially after hearing her humming. It's actually very relaxing despite the fact that he's laying on the dungeon floor. ]

It would be nice...

[ That's all he mutters before Oriade comes back. ]

Nap? Here? Don't be ridiculous...

[ And yet he's not moving. ]

[ uta will not forget the statement that yjh made about wanting to be friends with oriae. she will remember this even as she allows herself to flop back onto the dungeon ground as well. ]

No treasure? How unlucky...

[ her turn to yawn. ]

But a nap in a dungeon sounds pretty exciting. [ at least under the circumstances that they were in. if this was a more ordinary game then things wouldn't be as exciting. ] Or different.

It sure is different... Mm... wake me up in about 30 minutes...

Yeah, Oriade sure fell asleep that fast on the ground! Maybe he was tired or something by no-lifeing this game. Either way, he's out like a light. ]

[ Uta, basically: this action (befriending Oria) will have consequences. Happy consequences.

Maybe the real treasure is the nap they're going to take now after it's clear that there's nothing to loot. ]

Is he already... asleep? Let's at least... go back...

[ Still not moving, so helpful!! ]

[ that is absolutely correct. yjh will receive a gold star and rewarded in a way that has yet to be decided. a reward that's also definitely not related to the current state of the three of them as uta does an even bigger yawn now that oriade has fallen asleep. ]

Why do we need to go back? [ she'll close her eyes before rolling to her side and curling up slightly. ] ...the forest floor here is kind of comfy.

[ her voice trails off and becomes barely audible ]

...s'like campin'...

[ and now it's her turn to be out like a light. ]

[ Sure is like camping.

Oriade continues to snooze. zzz... either yjh has to drag them both out of the dungeon when the trap wears off or he'll just be stuck here sleeping with these two. ]

[ He's lvl 1 so he's going to sleep like a baby, look good while at it and not wake up until everyone else is awake. Helpful!! ]

[ i'm so glad that the three of them are just passed out in the middle of a dungeon.

aka don't expect uta to be waking up for this tag. just some more snoozing a bit longer. ]

[ After about 45 minutes, Oria wakes up, yawns and stretches his arms out. The sloth trap must be close to wearing itself out, and Oria feels so... lethargic right now, which is new to him. He doesn't usually feel this way. ]

Mm... Punisher? Uta?

[ He crawls over to them and lightly shakes their shoulders. Y'all are just sleeping, right?? ]

[ Not me taking an one week+ long nap... if only.

Joonghyuk just opens his eyes and glares up at Oria. His level one shoulders feel sore, so it takes him a while to sit up. ]

Did we... really just pass out here?

[ uta will wake up after a bit of shaking. no one is dying in this game (at least when this thread is taking place) but she'll definitely be groggy and give a yawn and a stretch. ...while not exactly sitting up right away.

enjoy seeing what uta is like when she first wakes up in the morning. ]

I don't feel rested despite everything, but...

[ He stands to help them up by extending a hand out to them. If they're still lethargic and sleepy, Oria will do his best to guide them through to the exit of the dungeon.
