11/05 — ΣHeartless Snaring Cathedral...?

Who: █████ & visitors
What: scheming
Where: Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground (Hulle Granz Cathedral)
When: Sunday, 11/05
Warnings: to be added
[ Despite the ominous aura, the haunted tower has seen no shortage of visitors recently. But for those who gate in today the air itself is different. The skies are black, and the mist that had blanketed only the top of the tower now pours out across the plains, shrouding the ruined city from sight.
Anyone who goes looking for the master of the tower will find that the room he occupied before now holds only a single door, standing unsupported in the middle of the room. It beckons, tugging with a terrible compulsion — you know whatever sight awaits you is one you'll later wish you could forget, and yet... you look. But the door opens only onto the bridge leading to Hulle Granz Cathedral, where the first quiet strains of choral music through the open doors guides you on. ]
((Note: Characters are welcome to receive the location from any other player and gate directly to Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Allowing those who found his tower inaccessible to come join, too, is cruelty.))

Huh. He would've felt jealousy not all that long ago. Is this...progress? ]
I got him.
[ There's less of him, anyhow. Just like Yael said.
It's clear, in the way Hector moves, and in the way he situates himself around Yael's body, that he's done this before. His memory won't tell him where or when, but his muscle memory is speaking loud enough. In one swift movement, Hector lifts Yael in his arms, bridal style, and he turns to Fai. ]
Grab my staff. We're running.

[And to Fai, Hector as they leave:] Keep him awake and talking, and don't worry too much about the rest of us. We'll look after each other.

Even in his current state, useless and -1 legs, Yael keeps his watchful eye on both Hector and Yuui, winding an arm around to grip the back of Hector's robes so he doesn't shift around too much while he's running. As they take off, he tips his chin to Dehya.]
You better come back in one piece.

But he was asked to run so he runs ahead and out of the way, as difficult as it is for him to do. Breathing heavily once he reaches his destination, he waits for Hector to bring Sheza over. By the time they're near, he's managed to catch his breath, though only somewhat. ]
Talk to me... about football. What are the rules again?

And Hector runs. Yael is heavy, but his legs can handle it. His eyes mind the elevation of the wound, keeping Yael stable in his arms, making sure he doesn't trip on an errant candle...
But they find their way to the pillar (Trader Joe's) where Hector's been hiding in between rounds, and he sets Yael on the floor. Even while Fai talks to Yael, he leans over to Fai to whisper instructions of care to him.
This shouldn't be long. But he still has others to take care of.
He squeezes Fai's shoulder, flicks Yael's forehead, and runs off to join the next round... ]

[It's not that he doesn't know what the rules of the game are — obviously he does — however...]
I don't give a damn about football, to be honest.
[Whoops. Guess he forgot the part of himself that had a special interest he was deeply invested in. Unfortunate.
Now lying on the ground, Yael does his best to stay on his back and let Yuui administer care as instructed by Hector, but all he really wants to do is close his eyes and sleep. Still, he knows better. He may not remember the part of him who knows why he can't afford to doze off right now, but he isn't taking any risks. He won't leave Yuui behind a second time.]
Later, old man. [Glancing up at Yuui,] We're talking about this later. About you. About Michel. [...] About us.
[But that conversation needs to wait until after the battle, and moreover, until they're both in stable condition. Until then, they'll both have to do their best to keep each other focused.]

[ But he knows they need to talk about this, about what this even means for them, though if Sheza thinks he's leaving his side anytime soon then he has another thing coming.
He's careful in following Hector's instructions, getting Sheza set up the way he needs to be before reaching for his hand. ]
I think we'll have a lot of talking to do, hmm?
[ Once they both get some rest, at least. Ah, but there is one thing he can say as he squeezes Sheza's hand. ]
I love you, you know. You and your meathead self.
