11/05 — ΣHeartless Snaring Cathedral...?

Who: █████ & visitors
What: scheming
Where: Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground (Hulle Granz Cathedral)
When: Sunday, 11/05
Warnings: to be added
[ Despite the ominous aura, the haunted tower has seen no shortage of visitors recently. But for those who gate in today the air itself is different. The skies are black, and the mist that had blanketed only the top of the tower now pours out across the plains, shrouding the ruined city from sight.
Anyone who goes looking for the master of the tower will find that the room he occupied before now holds only a single door, standing unsupported in the middle of the room. It beckons, tugging with a terrible compulsion — you know whatever sight awaits you is one you'll later wish you could forget, and yet... you look. But the door opens only onto the bridge leading to Hulle Granz Cathedral, where the first quiet strains of choral music through the open doors guides you on. ]
((Note: Characters are welcome to receive the location from any other player and gate directly to Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Allowing those who found his tower inaccessible to come join, too, is cruelty.))

I'm sorry.
[ And hopefully Sinclair is prepared to be squeezed quite a bit tighter, because so many things are hitting Michel all at once now. Those letters, the burden he put on Sinclair, the memory of his sword sinking into Sinclair's side— ]
I'm so very sorry—!
[ He's not going to cry. Never again. And not here, in front of so many. But his eyes burn and his throat hurts. ]

I'm glad you're back. I'm so glad.

He clears his throat to try to force the lump away. ]
I didn't mean to worry you. I just... didn't think...
[ He didn't believe, again. Everything that was Gorre had been so inextricably entangled with everything that was him. ]

[Sinclair mutters; oh no is he going to cry again? He'll be like a faucet and he wont be able to stop. ]

[ Didn't he? He thinks he did... he tried to...
...There isn't much defense for this. He squeezes Sinclair tighter and, finally, reaches up to ruffle his hair. ]
I'll... work on that.

[Hug. Huuug. He relaxes into Michel's hold, and manages to hold back a sniffle. There]

[ Or, well. Conscripted, now. The tiny, near-silent chuckle finally eases the pressure of tears, and he begins to relax. ]

You don't have a choice anymore.
[Repent and share what you know]

...That's more than fair. He has apologies and thank yous to deliver to the rest of the Phantom Operatives, too. ]
Can I... find you there later?
[ He wants a chance to talk, not in front of an audience... Sinclair throwing him to the wolves of this terrifying cathedral crowd is also fair, however. ]

[GET THAT INVITATION MICHEL]
no subject
Of course, he'll accept. ]
It... would probably be best if I didn't assist with that. I'll meet you later.
