As I was not present at the battle, I'd been unable to confirm the lack of strategy present.
Still, we would do well to exercise caution with or without one. As much as can be feasibly done. Otherwise, we'll have difficulty keeping our bodies in an adequate state — or rather, a bit more well-preserved — before heading forth into future battles.
If, however, this can be resolved by employing better strategies, I see no reason not to consider this as well.
