MAC ANU ~ GANYMEDE'S MCMANSION

The everpresent afternoon sunset hangs, echoing picturesque across the glass windows apparent at each spot within the large building. In a large room full of tables and what not are heaps of various cuisine settled here or there. Seafood, pastas, drinks, the like; Mediterranean style so if nobody likes that...gomen.
Ganymede has made it clear that he prefers people to be here in order to get themselves together. Sorted, somehow. They're all acting with a sort of independence he seems disinterested in disturbing, but he wants the prospect of potential solutions to be floated along.
If someone has new information they can share, well, it is encouraged. If not, he hopes that they will at least participate in some way.
It now begins.

(( OOC Note: People will not be attacked by monsters once within the McMansion, including pool area. ))

Whose love are you thinking of that feels like that?

( His gaze lingers on Hani, then drifts across the room; eventually, it comes to rest on the way that leads out, that Barrett had taken. That one most of all. )
It feels so certain.

Thank you for coming back. [ a touch on his cheek to get his attention again. ] Chase it, what you think will leave you. Prove yourself wrong.
[ the smile they offer him is a little sad, a little happy, and as always, full of love. ]
Chase him. He’s hurt, too, where it matters most.

... He sent me back here. And... he'll only let me so close. Lily...
( ... )
... I think Lily has his heart now. And no matter what I do, I can't halt his course.
( He's tried. But it's clear that - he's at odds with himself, here. He doesn't say Lily's name happily. But he isn't so sure that's who he should be blaming. Is it Lily's fault? Barrett's? Some many things else? Or all factors simultaneously, in equal measure? )

... What course?

[ they trace under his good eye. something that should’ve there, but isn’t anymore. a terribly abstract thing to try and spot… ]
Was that taken from you like my name was? I did wonder about the change.
[ … ]
You were going to leave for a place none else could reach. Go now, to him, and ask.

He glances again to the passage out, then to Hani. He sets his hand over theirs, fingers loosely curled around it. )
... If you'd liked my names, I'd have let you have mine. I have a different one, now.
( And so they come full circle to the start of their conversation. His tail flicks when he mentions it.
This time, though, he seems far less singed about the prospect of Hani's love not persisting across personages. He's had his chance to collect. )
You're Hani to me. I don't know if that's what you forgot, or a different one. But tell me your name when you know it.
( He unfolds his knees, letting his soles touch the floor as his touch slips away - though he hasn't announced it, he seems intent enough on going. Hani's prompted him twice. Even if it won't change much. )

Do you remember? That's what you offered when we first met.
[ like a distant dream, a memory tinted with sweetness, smelling of nostalgia. if he doesn't remember that, they think it's fine to leave at least that in their heart. ]
Goodbye.

( So he knew they wouldn't want them - neither fit. He doesn't know what name they feel encompasses them, but he thinks their challenge is a difficult one. He would not have named himself Morgan, or Mithrun, or this, by choice; they were all names given. If he had to name himself, understand himself and find something that matched the shape of him, he would still have no name at all.
Maybe they were alike, in that regard.
He nods at their farewell, feeling a little final in tone, and turns, and heads off out the entryway.
He won't find Barrett in the end, but Sinclair wanted to meet with him. And so he'll set himself upon that. )
