MAC ANU ~ GANYMEDE'S MCMANSION

The everpresent afternoon sunset hangs, echoing picturesque across the glass windows apparent at each spot within the large building. In a large room full of tables and what not are heaps of various cuisine settled here or there. Seafood, pastas, drinks, the like; Mediterranean style so if nobody likes that...gomen.
Ganymede has made it clear that he prefers people to be here in order to get themselves together. Sorted, somehow. They're all acting with a sort of independence he seems disinterested in disturbing, but he wants the prospect of potential solutions to be floated along.
If someone has new information they can share, well, it is encouraged. If not, he hopes that they will at least participate in some way.
It now begins.

(( OOC Note: People will not be attacked by monsters once within the McMansion, including pool area. ))

I don't think I've ever asked for immortality or wanted it. [ in a way, she already lives forever in her songs and music. ] I've only ever wanted for people to feel safe being themselves and not have to worry about anything.
[ take that as you will??? ]
If I can make people happy by easing their pain in some way, then of course I'll want to do that.

[Wow, this guy isn't one for sentimentality, huh? Even if he's unmoved by the good vibes Uta's trying to spread around here, that's okay; he latches onto something in what she said, instead.]
But that brings us to a different matter. Easing others' pain, huh.... Then, would you say a world in which you feel no pain is superior to the "real" one?

I don't believe in a "superior" world, but more of an ideal situation or place. There isn't anything inherently wrong with people wrong with feeling pain; it prevents us from repeating the same mistakes. I just don't have to like it.
I don't enjoy seeing people suffer knowing that there is a way for them to not.

[A direct attack. Rather than to keep pitter-pattering around the ideas of immortality and this world as an escape, he goes right to what he wants to ask.]
Are you glad to be trapped here, now that you supposedly have no body to go back to? Even though this world is no longer one in which we can escape from the pain of the real world. Now that pain and death are permanent here, too.

[ as if uta needed to think more about how fragmented her life and "kind of life" was. but, suppose, it was something she just brought upon herself. ]
I couldn't say that anything about a situation where people are not safe would make me feel "glad".
