MAC ANU ~ GANYMEDE'S MCMANSION

The everpresent afternoon sunset hangs, echoing picturesque across the glass windows apparent at each spot within the large building. In a large room full of tables and what not are heaps of various cuisine settled here or there. Seafood, pastas, drinks, the like; Mediterranean style so if nobody likes that...gomen.

Ganymede has made it clear that he prefers people to be here in order to get themselves together. Sorted, somehow. They're all acting with a sort of independence he seems disinterested in disturbing, but he wants the prospect of potential solutions to be floated along.

If someone has new information they can share, well, it is encouraged. If not, he hopes that they will at least participate in some way.

It now begins.

That we should consider staying here, if we could "take back" the world from CC Corp. He seemed to blame them — or, at the least, a third party — for the monsters. He claims they were preprogrammed to attack as they did.

... Interesting suggestion, that they're preprogrammed - if Hien is honest in what he says about how the monsters and Lily are made of the same data when inspected.

...Interesting. I see no reason yet that both can't be true. "Lily" suggested I get rid of the monsters. Perhaps there's something in particular about the shielded ones he's hoping to protect.

I don't think he has any attachment to them. [Piping up, if briefly.] He encouraged me to help destroy them, not protect them.

I know nothing about his motives. But it leaves us with the question of where the shields came from.

Don't know. I've seen them before, in areas that were glitched. But they just seemed to happen, like any other monster.

It could be. Whatever causes glitches in those areas could corrupt the monsters as well.

What does he mean by "staying here?" Like, in the game?

Yes. A world we can shape to our liking.

He told that to me too. Or implied it. That the outside world is cruel and caused us so much pain. 'Here' was better.

Do we actually have people who want to stay here for the rest of our lives?
