It's a Japanese dish, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are similar ones around the world.

Yeah, that'd make sense! I'm from NYC, and there's cultures of all kinds mashing up there. Probably had some variation of it at some point... But that doesn't really matter - what's in front of me right now is great.

New York City? I've never been. I'm from Tokyo.

[ That's a bit like the NYC of Japan, isn't it? She usually doesn't talk about her private life online, but lately it feels like the lines between the two worlds have blurred. ]

Oh wow, Tokyo! That's like, on the other side of the world from me! Or... a lot less if you go in the other direction, haha. Yeah, I've never left New York at all - I'm super curious about traveling in the future though! [If they have a future, anyway...]

I'd like to see New York. The farthest I've been is Hawaii, and that was for a school trip.

But you can't go wrong with some pizza! Figuring out what kind is a trial in and of itself, but regardless of your taste, there's bound to be something to like in the Big Apple.
