[ He's not sure if that's the word Punisher intended to use here, but it's the first that pops into his mind. ]

Why would this happen to us? For what purpose? There's something so disturbing and so criminal about it ...

[ Brambles grips his partner's hand. ]

But we can hold ourselves accountable. As long as we have each other ... neither of us will forget who we really are ... and no matter what happens, I promise you won't ever lose me.

[ Losing himself happened without noticing has already happened but he remained blissfully unaware. Losing Brambles, however... no, that's out of the question. ]

[ Joonghyuk follows his words with a kiss on Brambles' lips. ]

[ Brambles returns the kiss with vigour, lingering, before pulling Joonghyuk close to him in an embrace. ]

[ His grip tightens. ]

Nothing will change that. When we leave this place, I want to be with you forever. I'll commit myself to you. Joonghyuk ...

[ He takes his hands. ] I want to marry you.

[ His voice is stern and his tone is firm. That confession surely made Joonghyuk's heart skip a beat, but it also made it sting. ]

I won't let you love myself more than what you are or whatever you've ever been or will be. [ A pause. ] You have to leave some of this love for yourself.

[ Joonghyuk presses a light kiss against his cheek after hearing that bold declaration and smirks this time. ]

In a mood for marriage now? [ He chuckles. ] Let me propose to you once we're back.

Just let me be sappy ...

[ He whines with an obvious playful note, bumping his head against Joonghyuk's chest with a nuzzle. ]

I just don't want to ever be apart from you.

[regressive]

You can be sappy all you want just don't put yourself down.

[ With his large arms wrapped around Brambles lithe frame. ]

You won't be, I promise.

[dapples]

[ He glances up at him. ]

Okay ... no putting myself down.

[regressive]

[ Before replying, Joonghyuk makes sure that Brambles' face is buried in his chest by hugging him really tight. ]

You're... too amazing to put yourself down.

[dapples]

[ He muffles out a soft noise when Joonghyuk hugs him tightly. ]

I-If you're sure ... [ So much for not putting himself down. He's just an average, non-standout guy. Or at least that's how he's always seen himself. ]

[ Is biting his neck a good way to show Brambles that he's sure? It's hard to tell, but Joonghyuk does it anyway. ]

[ What is with this guy and biting!!!!!!!!! ]

Haha - hey! [ And yet, he laughs. ]

[ Marking his person is important!!! ]

I'm sure. Absolutely sure. I just wish you didn't have to go through all of this.

[dapples]

Through all of this...?

[ He knows what Joonghyuk means, but the words just tumble out of him. ]

[regressive]

It's heartbreaking that you could forget your own father.

[ Says the man who doesn't have the faintest idea how his own parents look like. But this isn't about him. ]

I'm sure he's taking good care of you.

[ Joonghyuk doesn't explain further what he means but if they're here, who knows what's going on with their real bodies. ]

[dapples]

[ At those words, his eyes swell with tears. Brambles swipes them out of his eye with his thumb - almost in disbelief. How can be shed tears over a person that he doesn't recall meeting? That he doesn't remember? ]

...

[ He can't even imagine this imaginary father taking care of him. All that he's ever known, with his memories erased, is nothing but loneliness. ]

[regressive]

[ If he notices tears forming in Brambles' eyes again, Joonghyuk will lean in to kiss them away and then shower his face with light smooches. ]

It's not your fault that you can't remember.

[ Still, he understands the feelings of guilt. How could he forget that he has a younger sister? ]

[dapples]

[ Those kisses are absolutely appreciated. Brambles clings to him tighter, sighing sadly. ]

I know ... [ It's just hard. ] I hope we get some answers soon.

I'm sure we will. This can't go on forever.

[ They need to go back to the people they forgot. ]
