What is the definition of a swordsman, simply one who wields a sword and it is accepted that he does so to a certain degree by his peers, and others? Or can anyone who swings a sword be called a swordsman? Whether in reality or fantasy?
What if the retired swordsman never took orders from an authority figure and was simply taught swordplay by a passing retired swordsman? Does that make him less or more qualified?
