[ It has been several months since the incident. Recovering from your body being in disuse for around two months must have been hefty, as well as your other commitments as well. Hopefully, everyone has recovered to an extent, because no matter where you are, the living players will receive the following in their mailbox: an invitation to a reunion party at a location near the beach between the ex-beta testers of Fragment, a bank card, and a 4-digit pin to said card from "Oriade". The invitation card will mention the following:

- A very convenient location nearby you with access to a small, private plane. For security purposes, you'll be told to list your in-game name, real name, and class before boarding.

- The bank card contains $10,000 as some sort of "compensation" for everything that happened because of the Fragment incident. He knows it can't replace everything (like lost lives), but he hopes this will help some people (because some people live paycheck to paycheck and he understands that). Access will be revoked in a month, so you better withdraw it all while you still can. Any unused funds will be returned. The bank will not question you withdrawing all the money from that account nor exchanging it all with foreign currency. (But-- no buts)

- The servers have been located and he knows how much you guys want to destroy these, so the server bash (literally) will happen some time during the party.

Being rich has its benefits, surely. When the plane lands with their luggage and all (if you brought any. please bring some), they'll be taken to a house that doesn't seem like much, but once they walk inside, it is actually very big! There are numerous rooms inside the house. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can think of with some dude(?) preparing all the food (he's the chef. don't worry about him). There is sure to be loads of different kinds of food that can cater to everyone's tastes. Yes, there is alcohol. Get some free rich ass liquor. No, you cannot smuggle any. That dude(?) will be keeping tabs. Sometimes there's a maid or two(? or is that the same one) running around and cleaning up after everyone. If you want something, go get it yourself. Self-service only.

There's a walkway in the backyard that's also wheelchair-accessible that leads to the beach! Enjoy that too.

[ though honestly, deto mostly remembers yoshi bathed in twilight more than anything else about that place. there's the impression of warm waves and fine sand, but otherwise… ]

Sometimes I think I left a part of myself there, unchanging. Maybe the part that wanted to stay for you.

It was nice, right? Being together there, sharing a room felt like sharing a home. And I felt like… sometimes you were scared of coming back to the real world.

[ he squeezes yoshi’s hand, says quietly: ]

[ because they were legitimate worries, fears shaped by his past and the unknown future ]

...It feels really lucky we ended up at the same hospital. I'm not sure what I would've done if I really did have to wait a while.

[He does his best to stay strong, but in the end, he's rather weak-willed.]

Yeah, I was definitely too optimistic when we were talking about what-ifs. I wasn’t expecting how intense the P.T. would be, so who knows how long it would have taken to contact you.

[ he’s honestly relieved his frustrations were only with his body’s limits and not broken promises he made to yoshi ]

Though I bet the nurses were annoyed at how much I insisted on being with you for everything.

It could take years for anything to be done, huh? Sure is fucked up. But. The… the money from Oria really helped.

[ and deto appreciates it. he does, but… he’d never want any of his friends to feel obligated to help him financially, so it bothers him at the same time. his pride is sore from it, maybe ]

[His own parents paid his expenses while he was in Tokyo, plus the trips needed to visit when he was hospitalized, but... both of them work at least.]

[ thankfully jp healthcare means the money more than covered the cost, with about three-quarters of it left to spare. but before then it meant deto’s family couldn’t visit as often and he worked extra hard to get healthy asap ]

Yeah, everything worked out. We didn’t have to really dip into any savings.

[ he worries his lower lip ]

… I'm going to give the remaining money to my mom. And then, use my own savings and work hard to get that apartment with you, even if… it'll take us a little longer that way.

...I'll have to talk it over with my parents, but we might be able to use the money I got to get started.

If that’s what you want to do, but, Yoshi, you can save that money for yourself - we’ll be fine eventually.

...But that's what I want to use it for.

I mean, I want to pay my parents back first. They had to pay extra so I could live in Tokyo. But... if it means we can live together sooner, that's what I want to use the rest on.

[ as long as it’s what yoshi wants, deto will go with his decision ]

It’s been weird, right? Not sharing the same room, or sleeping in the same bed at night.

[ regardless of whether they’re assigned rooms or not, deto’s rooming with yoshi. tough luck to anyone who minds ]

This counts as one. I remember - in the game, I had really wanted to go somewhere nice and quiet and monster-less with you, so I thought the shoreline would work.
