Not many people have entered Guild Name’s @ home before today, which is perhaps understandable given the demeanor of its owner. The few who have will find the @ home entirely redecorated - if you could even say it was decorated in the first place, with how utilitarian everything was before. Maybe Owen’s taken a leaf out of Telophoroi’s book, or he’s really into halloween. Or both. Either way, Sweets Grunty has done a lot of work to essentially redecorate the entire @ home.

The main hall is where most of the action is, with tables set up filled with snacks and drinks. Most of the snacks are small finger foods, and it does seem to heavily lean towards sweeter options, but all of them have a general spooky flair. There are candy apples, cupcakes, finger sandwiches, hand pies, nothing too outrageous. There’s a selection of wine, ciders (both alcoholic and alcohol-free), as well as harder spirits, liqueurs, and juices if people want to craft something stiffer, and coffee and teas for people who want a different sort of buzz. There’s music playing over speakers, but a piano also sits in the hall. You’ll probably want to get permission before you try to play it, though.

There are chairs and tables for people who would rather sit and eat, as well as an open space to serve as a rudimentary dance floor for people who would rather move, but it’s clear the plans for this party were simply “people can do whatever they want”. There’s even tubs of water with apples if people want to go bobbing, and other random party games for people to fuck around with. The world is your oyster, and Owen doesn’t care what people do (which is why PVP is enabled within Guild Name).

The only other rooms that can be entered without asking Owen about it are a bathroom which hasn’t escaped the halloween decorations, and the kitchen which seems to be where Sweets Grunty can be found keeping itself busy.

[Owen isn’t going to half-ass this party, even if nobody shows up to it. He can always snack on whatever doesn’t get eaten, and there’s a reason most of the fare is sweeter in nature. It won’t get wasted!

Anyone who stops by the @ home early will find it open, though most of the rooms are inaccessible. Owen can be found in the kitchen, working alongside Sweets Grunty. He hums as he concentrates, but he’s… oddly focused on getting things ready, so he might take a while to notice if anyone is there. Something this domestic and mundane is a nice change of pace from everything else that’s been happening…

Though it’s also possible Owen will be deeper in the guild hall when people arrive, depending on how early people are. Only those who have had relatively positive interactions with Owen will be able to enter the practice room, where Owen can be found doing barre stretches and warmups. It seems like he’s working through some sort of jitters by being active.]

[Costume acquired, Owen doesn’t… really play the role of welcoming host, but he does seem to be in a pretty chipper mood. He might not be greeting people with a lot of enthusiasm, but he does at least acknowledge everyone who arrives and seems to be smiling with more warmth than he usually has.

He drinks, he makes merry, he’ll play the piano and sing on request, and as the night wraps down…]

You know, I think this means my birthday is soon.

[He says this like it’s some sort of secret, because, well - what do birthdays matter to someone in Fragment? It’s just an arbitrary date, isn’t it?

[ Memoir is donning a Safari Ranger outfit with binoculars dangling from his neck area. He seems to be enjoying himself, reveling in the fact that there's something nice with everything going on lately. Memoir doesn't have the chance to speak to Owen, however, until later in the night, when he mentions his birthday. ]

[ Sadly, Memoir had missed his own, but for Owen, this is something to be celebrated!! ]

What are you going to do for it?

Well, we don't have calendars, so it's just a guess.

I'm not going to do anything. Why should I?

[It's not like there's anything to celebrate, and he doesn't really feel a need too. He feels like there's some sort of milestone to his age, maybe, but he's having a hard time remembering what he's supposed to be turning...]

[ Memoir has a feeling he's met people like this before, who don't put much value on their birthdays at all. He can't recall who – though a pair of bright blue eyes comes to memory when he thinks about this, for some reason – and he can't help but grin a little. ]

That's fine. You don't need to. For whatever it's worth, though, I'm grateful you're here and that I was able to meet you.

He's helping himself to the sweets, though he's also just... staring at the apple bobbing tubs.]

[Wow, it really is a party. She's half-surprised honestly.

That said, she's attending in a costume of her own, though she doesn't seem too interested in partaking in any activities. She's fine picking out cupcakes to balance out the bitterness of coffee.

[Sinclair is here just to see what's going on. He's in a cat-witch costume and he's looking around in pure bafflement. Where did he get this outfit? Who knows. But it's comfortable and suits the theme.

He can be found wandering around either by the snacks with a candied apple in his paw-gloves or near the party games -- how did they get twister in here anyway?

[It’s Halloween! (Sort of!) So with Sinclair looking so distracted, Owen can’t resist sneaking up to him.

Memoir attends the Halloween party in a safari ranger outfit. He can primarily be found frequenting the refreshments table and picking out what looks particularly delicious – this means he's taking one of everything. That sandwich you were eyeing? Gone in a flash. Sorry. He's a sucker for good food.

Otherwise, he'll be social and admire everyone's costumes. He will even try to strike conversation about them: ]

It was for efficiency's sake. The skin was available due to a previous run through a dungeon and so I decided that I would go for it.

[ Once again, Michel is here. For reasons that seem to escape even him. He's dressed as a grim reaper with a decidedly halfhearted sickle whittled out of Haunting Hemlock. At least he's on theme! For the most part he's tucked away in a corner, the hood pulled down nearly to his nose, his arms folded over his chest. He might be... sleeping?

When grudgingly in motion he can be found at times over by a tub of apples, idly prodding at one with the little sickle. Who cares how this is supposed to be played; the grim reaper does what he wants.

Or for a real jumpscare, as the night wears on he might retreat towards the kitchen. Pray that he's not feeling magnanimous enough to try to help Sweets Grunty. ]

I'm not sure about mine, other than I feel like this sort of profession would excite me. And the outfits are cool!

[ I forgot it only lasts 24 hours but I am handwaving him running a dungeon with the effect just for this and then he decided to grab a halloween outfit that matched or whatever, it's fine. ]

And I haven't thought of it too deeply, not that I can remember...and I don't know the intricacies of the job or anything like that. I just think being around nature in that way could be really fulfilling.
